My only real complaint is that it seems to be slower than any other fighter and slower than many bombers (single or double engine). It's also risky going up against Stukas' rear gunners as there's no protection. I'm not used to "player killed" that easily!

That said... I tried out a scenario pitting three P.11s against three I-153s. Don't know if that's particularly historical. Call it Finnish Winter War maybe? At any rate, with realistic gunnery on, I knocked out one plane, with overall score of 3 to 1 of my flight against his.

The P.11 is just a handsome plane and maneuverability takes on new meaning. I suppose the kind of dogfight I was in was a bit more like World War I than II!

I'd be curious to know how others have played with the P.11, against fighters, against bombers, against ground targets? I notice it can carry two (very) small bombs. Haven't tried that yet.

Try P-11s against TB-3s. Lots of fun! But don't try buzzing around MY stizuka, Klaus will turn you into cookie crumbs!

Cookie monster knows it was slow because it was a P.O.S.

Sorry, he does not have any data to back up that fact at this time.

P.11 catch stuka? Not bloody likely unless you've got bases 10km apart, wonderwoman, icons and whatnot.

Get yourself a MiG or a hoopty ghetto Yak-1 (yeah, a Yak-1, not a Yak-1B) and then go off after Stukas. Those Polish kites are really cool but they simply aren't fast enough to catch a Stuka, and that's not saying much. ~S!~

I was playing a quick mission, so I had no problem getting after the stukas, diving on them as they flew by. But if there'd been any distance... granted they would've gotten away!

Call it Eastern Poland, September 17th, 1939?

Or you could slap some Romanian markings on those P.11's and fly them in Barbarossa 1941 for the Axis. They were an export version of the P.11a, the P.11b built as the Romanian IAR P.11f. For something a touch more modern, look at the P.24 used by Poland, Greece and Romania. At least it had an enclosed cockpit. Gather all this lent something to the development of the IAR series of fighters in Romania, as the fuselage has a similar line to them.
