I was on patrol in BE14 (Feb 1941) When we picked up a large convoy headed west. I decided to creep in to the convoy letting the lead black swan pass by. There she was a big fat C3 at 1600 meters. I kept my periscope down until she was plotted on the F6 screen at an AOB of +20. I rasied the periscope opened tubes and fired 2 torps hitting her mid section. Before you know it the DD's were hunting me. I decided to manuver up along side of the crippled C3. Using my periscope beneath the water, I kept us at the same speed as the C3 paralell to her course. The DD's had no choice but to circle around her. As each one appeared to my front I would send a torp out at .01 depth and fast. They had no chance. Sunk all three DD's and I am now re-loading on the surface in the middle of the convoy. While waiting I expended my deck gun ammo sending 3 C3's to the bottom. I will continue the hunt as I reload. This could be big ton numbers.....I love GWX!

I wondered if that would work. That one convy mission (either happytimes or malta can't remember which) I let the freighters surround me and as long as I kept at 3 knots they couldn't find me over all the noise.

Hahaha, I have my own way of getting at it, however, very renown-intensive, Here! (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/857101043/m/3541054714/r/3541054714#3541054714)

It's a de-escorted convoy!
