I know that this has been previously requested, but, would it be possible to get ├ larger Pacific map such as Guadalcanal and surroundings or New Guinea? We have the planes, but the current map s ├ little too small to do somethong else than dogfighting!

Best regards.

If The Team doesn't have time, a very simplified non-historical map, but *very* large, would be Okay!

Some small barren islands (10km) with airfield on each. A few larger islands (50km wide) with more than one airfield would be interesting, and if the larger islands could be mountainous like southern Kuban map--if The Team has time for mountains.

No palm trees!
No roads or rail!
No Polynesian village huts!

If The Team does not have the time, no Forests or Mountains. Just plain barren airfield islands and water. Anything. ANYTHING!!!

This would be *easy* to make, and would allow simming real Pacific island based operations. Map must be 1000km on a side. Almost all empty water. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Bump for a ocean map that can be made in one day.

I'd also like to give this a bump.

For mission builders, bear in mind that you can actually place objects and aircraft outside of the visible area of the map in the FMB. You can edit the position coordinates of the objects in question in the .mis file itself via notepad. Place an object at the extreme edge of the map and then add 30000 or so to its position :>

You can also do this to get more 'sea' in the Normandy map - make the planes fly out to the top of the map, then make them circle back around to the island base.
