If you fly a German plane, do you also 'fly' a German car?

And people who fly allied planes, do they drive/ fly a none German plane?... Or is this just a lot of Bull?

I fly allied planes and drive a French car...

I drive a Peugeot 206 GTI. Flying low... Below radar... Yep, even when i'am driving i can't stop "playing" Il-2... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I had an Alfa Romeo before and I don't fly the Italian planes that much!
I enjoy flying the Il2/Pe2 for some ground attack action...and i'd NEVER buy a Russian car

I fly a white 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit, equipped with a leaky top, bad bearings, jerky transmission, bald front-left tire, nearly useless heater, unraveling upholstery, malfunctioning oil indicator,a four cylinder engine of questionable reliability that produces noise levels greater than most propeller driven aircraft at idle, and Porsche eight-spoke rims (<---redeeming feature).

You never leave the Eastern Front. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'd say that your choice of car would be more dependant on your location, budget, and car makers available

I mean, I may love the Yak, but I'm not about to import a Lada. I think Honda made a hell of an F1 car, but I'm not about to buy a Civic

You never leave the Eastern Front. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Strange, I had a VW Rabbit from '91 to 93 and it was a great and reliable vehicle. It had one of those ingenius mechanical fuel injection systems, invented by the Germans and used in Bf-109s. Far better than any electronic unit of today, simple and reliable. And it automatically adjusted the fuel/air mixture for different altitudes, unlike electronic fuel injection. Nice for driving in the mountains!!
With carbureted vehicles, I used to get out and turn the mixture screw CCW a bit if I ventured into mountains.

As for this game, I'm not a dedicated German flyer. I fly everything, without being nationalistic or elitist.

Mostly fly German, always (well, almost) drive American. I've been through a '81 Chevy Vette (Chevette that is), a '79 Ford Turbo Mustang, a '85 Pontiac Fiero (2M4), a '97 Pontiac Firebird (sadly the V6 model), and now own a '02 Chevy S-10 Crew Cab for me and the wife drives a '06 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP (there is no replacement for displacement). For most of that time there was also a '72 Ford Van in the mix (it was my APC) that I literally drove into the ground. We bought it very high mileage and spun the odometer several more times. I was sad to see it go but it was time.

I say almost always b/c there was a brief stint with a '72 MGB, however, in my defense I never did sell the Mustang during the time I owned the MG.

But they are indeed drool-a-licious and just the thing for BMW coveters with limited mantoy budgets. I may yet buy one if I find a decent stateside deal.

BMW 320si, race spec engine, nicely prompt off the mark.

When my mum saw it she said I couldn't park it outside her house because it was German and they bombed our chip shops!

That's a classic.

I've always preferred mashed potatoes. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Don't listen to your mom!

320si is a sweet machine, I just can't quite yet get used to current 320 not having a straight six or Bangle styling. However, E90 is an extremely competent car and prettiest so far of all the new (Bangle) Beemers. Now, I'm just waiting for the new E92 coupe to arrive at my local BMW dealer (stealer) and I can start salivating.

BMW 3-series 4 ever!

Nah in all seriousness I'm not, having just turned 16 on Friday (the 1st). But I've been doing my homework, and the R850 is apparently a great beginners bike. But I'll prolly get my car license first (damn http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif )

I don't drive. I take the bus. I guess I must be a bomber gunner or one of those troops aboard the C-47, or something.
