Photoshop is great.. that took about 12 screenshots..... the clouds are several layers.... the roundel had to be totally reworked because it was sopixelated when i blew it up from on on the side of an aircraft.

cool....I take it those are representing the squadrons the tuskegee guys flew. You gonna do a cmpn on that? (hint, hint, hint).

The only thing i ever flew with them in it was an adon for MS cfs1. It was ok, if you didnt mind P-40s the size of Godzilla following you dn the runway.

I use photoshop elements alot in my photography bsnss.....dunno what id do without it.

Badsight.

As if it's hard to put a white star in a blue circle?

Bearcat, next time try using one of Serval's marking packs (available from the new home of Skinners Heaven), and cutting out the appropriate insgnia. They are high quality markings and easy to resize without lots of pixelating.

that looks very nice. Good job.

Good work Bearcat. I recognize the top plane - it's the one from that Angelina Jolie movie, but what are the others?

Or use vectors, no pixelation. Good job! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Actually no.... it isnt... but I didnt do it that way ... I actually used a roundel from the markings page of the old Skinner's Heaven.. and just adjusted the scale, but it still pixelated... I did this this a little while ago.... and I wasnt as adept at shortcuts in PS as I am now.... I learned some of them by doing this.... but it wasnt all that hard.. I just used the circle tool to circle the round part and filled it in.. then I had to polygon lasso the star do that .. set inverse.. and do the inside part of the roundell.. I just had to figure that all out..... I dint just start doing this yesterday.. I have dozens of skins that I have done and little projects.. I just started sharing some of them.......

Warwolf..... I didnt put the P-39 in because it wasnt in the originaL LOGO... I just wanted to redo the official log using the sim.... I though it would look nice..

bun bun.... those are the main planes that the Airmen flew.. but they also flew P-39s and P-47s.... although the P-47s were only for @ a month or two, then they got thier Mustangs...

Ofzo.... what do you mean use vectors.....?

I used the edit>transform>scale settings and just stretched it out... but it still was pixelated more than I wanted it to be.. so I had to do a little filling in. Is that command set what you mean by vectors?

I'm a graphic designer by training. This is exactly the process I would have used to accomplish the same thing. Looks good.

@Waffen

The Luftwaffe uniform I am "wearing" in my sig belongs to one Leutnant Dahlmer. Photoshop helped me "try it on"...and it fits well.

The rest of my sig (the half built FW 190) is real tho, that's a photograph.

We just upgraded from Photoshop CS to CS2 and there are a few new goodies in there i'm having fun with.

If anyone needs any help , or just wants to share ideas, about Photoshop and Illustrator feel free to contact me. I love answering "how do I..." questions.
