Ubi should use this as a marketing tool. What are the chances that the first DaVinci discovered in over 100 years is found about a month before he makes his video game debut? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

New DaVinci discovered, worth about 150 million dollars!! (http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-10-14-new-da-vinci-fingerprint_N.htm?csp=34)

Ahh!! That's so awesome! I bet Silverman and his friend are freaking out right about now. What I wouldn't give for a $150,000,000 painting...

Oh man, if this game hasn't gone gold yet, they have to put this in there. You could buy it as art for your villa. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And then we could all say we have a $150 million daVinci work in our house. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT: Or, if it has gone gold, they could sneak it into any future DLCs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

I doubt the game has gone gold and adding something like that would be fairly simple as they will already have a picture model they would just have to overlay the new image and the pre existing picture models.

unless of course the picture locations are already decided for in the house (so you buy them and they appear in the correct place rather than you taking them and placing them manually)

What are the chances that the forensic art expert who studied the painting lives and works in Montreal? This is getting more and more suspicious... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

This definately has to be added to the game. It would be totally awesome lol. Maybe as a piscture in the back ground of Da Vinci's shop or something. Just a thought. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

In fact, there's a big school of museology in Montreal. They are associated with Le Louvre.

Lots of lame pieces of paper that have probably been used for runny and sneeze-y noses at one point or another, or one super awesome piece of paper that has the identity of a genius smudged onto its surface?

It's not even a question in my opinion.

If I had like $200,000,000 I would buy the painting, because Paintings can only raise in Value http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No, but I would give my left ring finger.

And then sell the painting for $160,000,000.

this may make me sound like an idiot but what does it mean to go gold

It means when a game becomes complete.

It's when a game that has been in development gets burned onto a master disc, which is gold in color, and gets sent off to be pressed onto the discs that will ultimately end up in your hands.

The process is no longer used if I'm correct, but the term "go gold" is still used to say when the game is done.
