The transcript

Claudia, my dearest sister

I have been in Acre a week now, safe and in high spirits but prepared for the worst.

The men and women who had fed and sheltered me here also give me warning that the road to Masyaf is overrun by mercenaries and bandit not native to this land.

What this could mean, I dread to guess.

When I first set out from Roma ten months ago, I did so with a single purpose - to discover what our father did not. A letter written the year before my birth, he makes mention of a library hidden beneath the stones of Masyaf castle. A sanctum full of invaluable wisdom.

So what will I find when I arrive there? Who will greet me? A host of eager templars I fear most strongly. Or nothing but the whistling of the cold and lonely wind.

Masyaf has not been home to the Assassins for amost three hundred years now. Can we still claim it for our own? Are we welcome there?

Ah, I am weary of this fight Claudia. Not because I am tired, but because our struggle seems to move in one direction only, towards chaos.

Today I have more questions that answers. This is why I have come so far. To find clarity, to find the wisdom left behind the by the great Altair so that I may better understand the purpose of our fight and my place in it.

Should anything happen to me Claudia. Should my skills fail me or my ambition lead me astray, do not seek revenge or retribution in my memory, but fight to continue the search for truth so that all may benefit.

My story is one of many thousands and the world will not suffer if it ends too soon.

I think that's all of it...

I have a question from something I noticed the first time I watched it. As quoted above Ezio says "When I first set out for Roma ten months ago..." Has it only been ten months since AC:B started? If that is so I don't get how he accomplished all that in a very short time plus traveled that far from Rome so Quickly.

That far, that quickly? I think ten months is plenty of time to get part way to Masyaf. The one thing I do find odd, and some else mentioned this, is that Ezio looks like he aged 15 years in 10 months. But, then again, maybe he didn't leave Rome for quite some time after Brotherhood. I'm not sure of the dates.

He talks above for Roma which means all the events of Brotherhood, Plus traveling, not just going from Rome to Masyaf. Plus he said he was leaving Rome to Leonardo right than now that the Brotherhood was well established within the city. All the extra stuff we can do really does not mean anything to the story. I think before he left to kill Cesare he had hid the apple.

Oh yeah sorry, I read that wrong. Well then the whole ageing 10 years in 10 months thing definitely does have some merit.

Yes, it does. That is one issue I have trouble with, but I can get used to it.

What are you on about???
Blind was right, because actually he says "When I first set out FROM Roma 10 months ago"
It's hard to hear, but seeing as Brotherhood spanned a total of 7 years (escaping the vault - Cesare's death), thats kinda proof that he means he's been travelling for 10 months.

Ok then I refer back to my previous statement http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

See that was what I originally thought as I didn't read the transcript I was just going off what I remembered hearing. Should have trusted myself...

Oop! Sorry folks for the typo. It is definitely supposed to be "from Roma" not "for Roma".

Will go and tidy that up now in the other thread. I'm pretty sure the rest of it is pretty much correct.

it is 'from roma' - since Ezio lived there for a while, before starting this venture http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Reason why he looks so aged is because in AC:B we didn't see him age, in 7 years. Add on 3 more years and we have Revelations' starting year in 1510.

1510, ten months and he has aged quite a bit. Ezio is 51 years old then. (1510 - 1459 = 51). Ezio apparently dies in 1524 when he's 64-65 years of age.
