Tell me, on your traditional online server, will people recognise the differance between a straifing pass on the way back from a target, and watching the spawn area and nailing people as they start to taxi?

Not likely.

If you want to go straffing an enemy base the server to do it on is WarClouds. They all full out vulching. The trick is penetrating the enemy airspace without being detected, avoiding or neutralizing the flak, and getting some enemy aircraft.

I may be biased some, but I like Warclouds for a full realisim server.
I just like the settings.
Vulching is just part of the game, and hard as heck to do.
Sometimes just finding the base can be a challenge, sometimes getting past the front can take timing.

Under those conditions, vulch away if you can.

Hey, fly @ Gennadich if you like vulching. Seems to be all the rage there nowadays...

havent been online for what seems like years

the anti-vulch solution used to be the fix that let you take a pe8 with the 5000 lb bomb as flyable

when being vulched .. spawn a pe8 .. and drop the bomb immediately the enemy is overhead

Preventing vulching is down the map makers, put plenty of AA down and two or more airbases per side which are km away from each other. But vulching was part of war, any aspiring virtual Tempest pilot should try there hand at it, cause thats what Tempests did!

Vulching in pairs and surviving takes as much skill as any other type of ground attack IMHO. There is a good formula for vulching too but you have to stick to the 1 pass from 3000m rule and leave afterwards.

Too many guys come in at low altitude and make multiple runs, people get warned on TS and the AA generally takes them out, if not returning fighters do. 2 or more guys working together can do some serious damage though.

If I could actually get some speed from that thing without overheating, maybe I would, but this way it's a suicide...
