I suppose there's not a great deal to show right now. Once BoB's release approaches, they'll have more to show (and want to hype it up more), so they'll probably return.

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif...in other words...they couldn't stand the heat and so got out of the kitchen....and will only return when they need their paycheck signed.

O.K.... that sounds about normal.

A funny thing that people always seem to have a longer memory for the negative then they do the positive. There were probably just as many if not more folks out there who appreciated the Friday updates and did not whine or ***** or complain. Don't let the vocal minority drown out the folks who appreciated 1C's weekly progress reports.

As I've said in the past... many folks who are critical of this or that change are truly interested in the future of this sim. Some state their criticism's reasonably and others don't. If we continue to harp on "negativity" you'll find that fewer and fewer people will bother trying to improve the sim.

Regards, Goshikisen.

~S~ Seminole!

I won't work with no pay either . . .

And I hate to keep making this statement, but who else ever gave anyone ongoing dvelopment updates on a biweekly, at the very least, basis? What game, I mean? And all that after the initial purchase. 1C doesn't have to do that, Mate. I'm not saying that 1C is perfect, or infallible (redundant?), but we have been awfully spoiled. I remember that Oleg's posts after the Friday updates were so enthusiastic, and he seemed like one of my kids when they bring a nice art project home.

"Look what I made for you, Daddy!"

"It's ugly. This picture doesn't look like our home, and I think that you only made this to get me angry at you for not doing better! Besides, you only do your homework so you can get your allowance anyway. This art project is no different. Now, go make me something that looks 'more real'."

I probably won't get any more projects to review from my kid, now, will I?

Even worse, I fear, is that my child may stop talking to me altogether, unless they absolutely have to.

Now, I know that Oleg is not a child, but this is human nature, no matter how old or young we are. I sure miss the old days when he would stay for hours in ORR, and answer politely stated questions from pilots that he would treat as friends. "Look at main page. I fly Friday at Ubi server, if you are free of time . . . " When did you ever hear that from Rob Brown? (That was the lead developer of CFS3) "I still try to tweak roll rate. Is different on some PC's. Test roll and post here. If bug, we will fix."

No. I don't blame him. His money has been made on this series, and he is off netting much bigger fish. And we have taught him a lesson that he will never forget:

No good deed goes unpunished

Wasn't a lot of work in progress knocked out because of the trademark issue?

I am one of the many folks who appreciated the Friday updates.. maybe I remember the negative a bit more because when they happen I am obligated to DO something about it... I am well aware that many f us concentrate on the positive.. but there are many who are squaeaky wheels and if I were Oleg I wouldnt come around too much either unless I had something specific to say... the last time he did.. he did.....

The updates were just this...

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif Something to let posters know something was happening, even if the updates were nothing more than just some more graphic Whazzits.
