I have been playing MS Combat Flight Simulator I & II on and off for a couple of years, but really got into too late to enjoy multi-player action. I have been checking this out, and I was wondering which versions of this game are available, (ex: is the latest version all inclusive, or do I need to buy the older one too?) and what I'd need to get to really get into the multi-player games?

thanks,

Jim

you need to buy 1946

This is a recent release and is a DVD megga game , it is a merged version of IL2 forgotten battles... the AEP add on disc.... Pacific Fighters..... PE2 pay to download add on.... sturmoviks over manchuria add on.... 1946 add on all on one lovely DVD..

Then you will need to add the patch 4.08 and you will have everything to fly online and what everyone else flys http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif then download the free hyperlobby and come join the fun, but beware its not as easy as CFS

I recommend a decent stick. Consider some sort of HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) either an X-45, X-52 or a CH setup with a throttle & stick, rudder pedals, Track IR.... these things arent necessary by any stretch, but they do add a great deal to the overall enjoyment of the sim. I also recommend that you hit the Nugget's guide to getting started. Have patience. This sim is unlike anything you have ever experienced. It will take patience but the end result is more than worth it.
