Rgr that Bear,
I am always misty when we lose our space explorers, seeing that it's our destiny to search the heavens, these were brave souls and i salute them! ~S~ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

We actually heard the accident as it passed over New Mexico. I thought a hawk flew into our picture window at full speed. What a shock to learn of the accident a little later on the radio.

RIP

I remember following the landing on TV with half an eye, only waking up when I realized the reporters where speaking a whole lot faster and with an certain shrillness in their voices.

We are so used to space age wonders and mobile phones with sattelite connection we rarely think of the people who risk death getting it all there.

I salute the seven.
I will never forget where I was when that happened. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Also I was supprized at the lack of coverage of the Challenger tragedy aniversary, or maybe I was working too much and missed it but I never saw anything about it.
