18%? Good lord. I would have turned around and gone home long before I got to new york.

Hey i've travelled around at 16% integrity

anywhere below 20% i wouldn't go below periscope depth.. but its just a suggestion from someone who has real uboat mod which shows no damage % http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif remember, when u are heavily damaged, make sure you stay below the surface less than 50 meters during the day and surface during the night (if, you're doing this before 1943).

I was down to 3.71%. I was afraid, that just cruising on the surface I'd sink, but fortunately I made it back to my base.

Did you find some playful DD's there? I'm headed to near NY now on a mission. Got to patrol CA89 for a day. I'm nervous about going into port with a IXC though, too big of a boat for shallow water. I have 99% hull left after a little run in with a yank Liberty cargo. Those things are almost armed as heavily as a DD except no depth charges. It had 2 big deck guns, 2 40mm gun and 4 20mm guns. They saw my scope and let me have it. Barely got my fishy off in time.
How deep is NYC harbor?

No DD but the merches shot back. I got a IXC to so dont worry folow the deep water in then when it gets to shalow surfice. Just do this at night. A quick in and out. Get out before daylight, that was my mistake. I tryed with thes tactics and I sank 2 ships. I know how u feel, with the Brooklen Navel Yard so close and all. Just a few 4 pipers a few km out. dont wory

Did you at least deck gun the statue on your way out?

07-11-2005, 10:19 PM
U kiding U got to do that.

Yes I did, went to NY harbor last night, got past the elmo boats and found a big fat nothing in there, once I was in the channel I was able to surface and drive around the port, no planes, no ships whatsoever. So I rolled up in front of the statue, and broke out the AP rounds on the statue of liberty, then turned a flak on it and sailed out. I took a screenshot of it I can post if youd like?

Had a similar experience, spotted a C2 near Gibraltar and got seen by a DD, but I got my torps off, then I saw it was in a small convoy, the largest ships being that one and another C2, which I quickly launched 2 torps at as well. The first sank right away while the second squandered for a bit. I was rising to get off another shot at it while it was crawling along and gave away my position, but escaped after some depth charging. Then, I got attacked again and combined pressure and depth charges got me. I hadn't saved since before I spotted the C2's. I was so mad, the kills were perfect on the C2's.
