As there has been so much waffle about planes and stats, etc... maybe a little proof on which is the better plane. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
A few movies, against AI, yes, but AI is more capable than ~90% of people and the other 10% it just takes a minute or two longer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You've probably seen these before (made some time ago), but for the newbies here we go..
Versus Yak3 (http://www.vanjast.com/IL2Movies/FWYak3.avi)
Versus P51 (http://www.vanjast.com/IL2Movies/FWvsP51.avi)

The AI, at any level, will fly itself into a low-E situation eventually, it's not quite comparable to online. You're in a low level furball with those Yak3's, not a good idea, imo.

It's not as bad as one thinks.. The Yaks and LA's become very unstable at low E and speeds (here the P51 turns into a brick), this is also where the ME109's and FW's excell.

I think to much emphasis is place on E. OK this is only a game and not RL, but it gives us luxury to experiment.

If I come up against a high-E opponent above me, I just avoid his attacks and wait for him to get impatient, all the while climbing slowly to match height. If I'm high enough, I dive to match the E, then the tables are turned.

There was a US pilot who made this comment somewhere "If they above you, don't chase them, they'll have to come down sometime"
