How do you edit crew fatigue?

I have found stuff in the Basic.cfg but what ever i do seams to make them permantly fatigued.

Does anyone know what to do?

In the Basic.cfg file scroll down until you come to the part concerning fatigue in the various compartments of the sub. It will begin with:

[FATIGUE_COEF]
;comp 0
RegularFactor00=0.01
SpecificFactor00=0.04
BadWeather0=0.02
;comp1
RegularFactor10=0.01
RegularFactor11=0.01
SpecificFactor10=0.01
SpecificFactor11=0.02
BadWeather1=0.02

What you want to do is reduce these numbers in order to reduce the rate at which your crew gets fatigued in the various compartments.

The compartments vary by ship but here is the breakdown for the VIIB and C subs:

comp0 = Conning Tower
comp1 = Sonar/Radio Rooms
comp2 = Command Room
comp3 = Diesel Engine Room
comp4 = Electric Engine Room
comp5 = Bow Torpedo Room
comp6 = Bow Quarters
comp7 = Stern Quarters
comp8 = Stern Torpedo Room
comp9 = Deck Gun
comp10 = Flak Gun

Note: The fatigue figure listed in your Basic.cfg file for compartments 6 and 7 is: -0.1. This is because these are the quarters. You want a negative fatigue so your crew will rest in these compartments.

Now as for what the individual lines mean for each compartment. Here is compartment three, diesel room for example.

;comp3
RegularFactor30=0.01 Ship is in cruise, good weather.
RegularFactor31=0.01 Ship in in cruise, submerged, good weather.
SpecificFactor30=0.04 Ship is in contact or engaged on the surface.
SpecificFactor31=0.01 Ship is in contact or engaged submerged.
BadWeather3=0.02 Bad sea weather for both surfaced and submerged.

Take note, these values are stacked so if you are on the surface, engaged, in bad weather the fatigue for the Diesel Engine Room would be:
0.06.

So adjust each figure lower or higher until the rate at which your crew fatigues in each compartment is to your liking.

Church Subsim, over at subsim.com has done some tests and came up with the following settings to allow your crew to remain on station for about six hours.

[FATIGUE_COEF]
