7600GT does the job for me, although the 7900Gt is a better buy nowadays - Im not going to bother upgrading, since the first DirectX 10 cards are due out in a few months.

BFG 7800GS here. Excellent card but my CPU is bottlenecking it though which means an upgrade to my motherboard and CPU very soon.

ATI sapphire radeon X1800XT 512MB
and AMD athlon 64 4000 ( 2.4GHZ 1152kb cache)
1.5 Gig ram

it works fine.

2 months ago i had 1.8 prosessor and a cheap graphiccard 6200 turbocache, it worked but a lot of lag.

I started with a Sapphire ATI 9800SE (AGP slot) with an AMD Athlon 2500 CPU, which ran SH3 quite well. Now I have an XFX Nvidia 7600GT XT (PCI-E slot) with an AMD Athlon64 3700 CPU, which run SH3 superbly.

Not the slightest lag...no problems with overloading - expecting the card to overwork with extensive graphics demands, mods, etc.
The closest I can come to visualization is to say: "Imagine watching TV with extensive action, explosions, car chases, etc., and the program runs fine - no lags, no decreased frame rates, etc., and you get an idea of what this card is like. No matter what program/simulation I run on the computer, it's like watching the action on TV. And I don't need to install air conditioners, water/air cooling systems, or anything else to the computer to keep it from turning into a molten piece of scrap metal because of heat. The card does it all for $399US
