I did not get a chance to fly much but so far here is what I see.

Again these are just observations, realistic or not!
Basicly just a few landings on the Essex tonight.

1. In coop, -1D gets off the deck nicely with 25% fuel, rockets and 3 500lb bombs.

2. In coop, -1D gets off the deck nicely with 25% fuel, rockets and a centerline drop tank.

3. Sound is great!
4. trim seams slow but I really didnt pay much attention to it.
5. slow flying is smoother
6. Landing charactoristics seam a little more friendly...at least mine are...and looks a lot like those in the videos posted here a few days ago. (Dont have the link right off).

I'll post some more if I see any.

All true,

and....,

I can now skip my aircraft{any I've tried so far} off the water at speeds up to 550Kmh and 10 degrees dive.
So is it only me or is this an added "bonus" attendant to the carrier take off fix?
I wonder what this will do for skip bombing?I'm off to try it out.
Yippee!!!

Fellow Pilots,
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gifDon't I feel stoopid!
Took the joeap's suggestion and rechecked my setting, realistic landing UNchecked! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif
VBF-83_Hawk, I'll be back in a few hours to delete my input to your thread and we'll pretend I was never here. I truley didn't mean to devalue your thread! My apologies. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Dont worry about it, honest mistake. How many times I have taken off in a ME-262, Beaufighter or an A-20 only to forget to select "all engines" again. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

All true!

F4U-1D lands like a dream on the carrier.

but....

Do not get into a knife fight with the Zero. The WILL serve your a_s_s to you on a platter.

I am playing under full realism settings. Did I do something wrong?

I do have a track recording. I never even squared off the trafic pattern. I departed, left all flaps gear down. Kept a constent 360 degree turn back to landing. No problems

I dont T&B with Zekes, I just shoot them down on my first head on pass... saves me of a lot of hard work, and even if it leaks just fuel, it wouldn't be combat capable..... Zeros are easy to destroy, if you know how to handle them, the 2o mm will not reach you on a head on pass, the 7.7 will, but they wont do much damage unless he hits you and kill you instantly. I Managed to take off a Jeep carrier with 100% fuel, but no ordnance though.
