i dont speak about that onine map with Kotka.

im mean the sector of Leningrad as a operations area of the JG54.
the actual Gulf of FInnland map is realy huge and still some players have problems playing it online . thats a "problem" in online wars like VEF & VOW &IS aso.
because a lot of players joines there and so, because of the mentioned probs, a northern front for the JG54 sorties is close to impossible to ad /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

so, would you consider in cutting an area of the actual Gulf of Finnland map in a smaler map ? lets call it "Leningrad map" ?
as the NorthWestern edge point perhaps BA17 to SE BQ1 ?

that would help the onlinewars to fullfill their campaign

A

BIG
!!!BUMP!!!
for this one!
It would be great if the large Finland map can be cut in two, making it available for people who are playing FB on minimum or a little over minimum specs.
It shouldnt be too difficult to do this I assume, and "open up" the theatre.

That would be very nice, eventhough I have a high-end machine I get stutter and sometimes bad FPS on settings that works perfect on other maps...

You dont lose anything, just have two additional maps which are each approximatly about the size of existing maps. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

First read, then think, then think again and the write something.

You would loose nothing!
Just make a second map, called "leningrad" that covers a part of the other map "finnland" that is still in the game.
Now the players that want the lager map "finnland" can play on that one and the guys with slower PC's can choose the smaller version named "leningrad"

Ohh wait i have a better idea: You give me the money and i can buy a new computer. Thats the best solution thank you Vipez /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

This does sound like a good idea. I've seen a few online servers run this huge map and I can see why...the terrain is fantastic...unfortnately, the memory load is incredible too.

I've got a top notch system and it takes significantly longer to load this map than anything else. Other maps come up in oh say 10-15 seconds or less but this one takes almost a full minute of loading. Its a fantastic map...thats why I think splitting it in two (at least as an option - should by no means replace the original large one) would be great!
