I recently saw a thread about the u505. If sub fans were in the Chicago area to see that they might make the time to head north for a short trip to see the WWII US sub USS ***** in Manitowoc, WI.. Check the link

For those of us on the East Coast of the US, there's a WWII sub in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland, right next to the Baltimore Aquarium. I haven't been in, mainly because I think my Honda Accord is bigger than it is...

I just got back from Baltimore two weeks ago and visited that sub. I live on the left coast in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. The sub in Baltimore is the USS Torsk-423 and it is certianly larger than your Honda LOL. Its actually the reason I bought SHIII my first sub sim. I was really impressed to say the least the tour gives you a real respect for what these guys on both sides did very awe inspiring to me. Also if your ever there the US Taney is in the next slip and it was the only Coast guard cutter to get under way and fire on the Japanese attackers at Pearls Harbor. That really got to me since I lost two family members at Pearl Harbor. If in Baltimore I highly recommend it! Hers a link to the sub
