I have a hard time choosing between the:

-FW-190
-Spitfire
-Tempest/Typhoon.

But I am sure it is one of them. No other plane really comes close to these three.

WW2-P-51D
Korea F-86
Vietnam F-4 A-7
Post Vietnam F-15
Now....... F-22 Raptor

Hmmm this presents too much of a hard decision for this plane lover

old = LA-9

new = SU-47

online in FB = LaGG

but there are so many planes that have history or performance that make them appealing

im a plane performance & history Lover

btw the Pipper Club won the war , dont get me started on the overmoddeled Pit Special

Too hard to narrow this down to one of a particular era let alone alltime... so....

WW1: Fokker DR1
WW2: F4U and B-29
Korea: Sabre
Vietnam era: F-111
Post Vietnam to present Day: F-14, MiG-29, F-16XL.

hmmmm where to begin........

prop fighter - dunno
prop bomber - B-26

Jet fighter - dunno, probably Me-262 or the ex-Su-37
jet bomber - Convair B-58 Hustler

Transport probably C-17 globemaster
reccon - Mig 25 reccon types.

prop ground attack - dunno
jet - probably A-10.

prop carrier a/c - The big Avenger torp bomber/ B-25.....
jet carrier a/c - dunno

prop civilian a/c - lol the flying car. I saw one on TV not long ago.... funny looking thing
jet civilain a/c - DH Comet

hmmmm plane as in fixed wing a/c only, or any air vehicle.....hehe

Choppers - Mi-24 Hind and the new Havok chopper Also Osprey

Bbut of all heavier-than-air vehicles to ever fly, I ultimately say the Wright flyer is my favourite. Where would we be without it????

The Corsair fer sure. i remember for my 15th birthday, my aunt took me down to the air museum in dallas. they had a corsair out back and it just worked out that they were going to start it up that day for everyone. it was an awsome, powerful sound. greatest sound i have ever heard next to the shuttle launch.

This has to be one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built. I was lucky enough to see one fly at Old Warden a few years ago.

As for military aircraft, I rather like the Fw 190D.

i think one of the reasons i like it is for it's excellent firepower and the fact it's "popularity" (or lack of)doesn't do it justice for the amount of work it did in WW2

Second, no, third that! SR-71A is my favorite of all time.

WW2- F4U Corsair has the beauty and the brawn
B-17 Just cool to watch (check out the model in the "Oleg should hire this modeler' thread)
Current generation of military has so many good looking and deadly a/c:

Su-37
F/A 22
F-14
MiG-29
AH-64 Apache 'Longbow'

I'm sure I could think of more, but the saliva is gumming up the keyboard.....
