Yup. It's called dodging. Goki is hilariously easy to shove around especially since he has zero answers to bashes.
He can't force anyone to fight him and even if he lives long enough to get revenge people can just ditch him because he's slow as hell, has no chase down, and stupidly long recoveries if he commits to any part of his mix up.

The only dangerous thing in his kit is his fully charged heavy, since it becomes a true 50/50. He can soft-feint into hug that late into the strike, that is unrractable.

As Raime said, just bash him out during charge-up or simply dodge back/roll and he is shut down. In 4vs4 he can do quiet some damage still, if you can get any distance to him.

I agree with knight. A shugoki has nothing that can open up a turtle and has to waste his stamina trying to. His damage and recovery is a joke. I play a level 70 shugoki. Before the rework if I got revenge i was usually guarrenteed a death if I got a gb. Now revenge is pointless. The demons embrace mechanic and his combos are to easy to just back dodge or roll away from
Why shugoki was reworked without an opener is utterly stupid. And people saying use his unblockable faint to force a reaction... Yea you really don't know what your talking about. It's all reactable.

I agree he is slightly better. To me the only betterment is his HA single light and not taking extra damage when passive HA goes down anymore. The damage reduction means I have to widdle away at a decent opponent. I do prefer this shugoki compared to the glass cannon of before though winning against another hero is less epic. The speed up if his demon ball is nice and his oos oni knock down comes in handy sometimes. I wish they'd put his oni ledge hit box back to its original size.

She's basically a better centurion/goki. I still like Goki because everyone needs a hug. But yeah she looks p great.

I Love Shoguki, i don't think he needs a nerf at all.

I think the opposite of you. Unfortunately Shoguki is good only with newbie players. If an experienced player play against him 1v1 , 90% of the time he will win... too poor the kit.

140hp, usual Heavy hero hp pool.

Usual 15dmg lights and 30-35dmg heavies,20dmg zone, the only big damage is charged unblockable or Demon's Embrace, but both moves can be completely avoided by back dodge and roll, also they are hard punishable and it isn't very hard to outplay Shugoki by simple guessing and mindgame.

Hyper armor the only interesting feature he have, he is trader, that how he was intended.

Only 3 unblockable moves, 1 is quite useless. Many characters have much more powerfullier unblockables.

I don't know too, they could make Shugoki much stronger, they could give him DE feint, dodge+heavy like sprint attack but in stance to punish rollers, they could make Shugoki really strong hero then complaints would be justified. I am happy he got rework and he playable, but he is still not higher than mediocre in all gamemodes.

Wow I don't know what game your playing or what mind games you are trying to pull but goki is no slouch and becomes a better turtle then a warlord could hope to be and opens turtles up like a bottle of water. Yeah you can dodge but if they're ready for it a side heavy the opposite side and boom your hit with his spin around if he wasn't doing the hug to begin with. Or the super quick cancel mile long heat seeking headbutt that warlord could only dream about being able to get. Goki is still needing nerfs or change other heavies to match the same range on the same attack

1) When you see the UB symbol appear on his charged heavy, dodge back
2) If you see him softfeint into an embrace, transition into a roll
3) The above points cover every single other option he has

Congratulations, he now has no way of dealing damage to you outside of chip.

Clever but it's sad it has to resort to an emo. Also they just took away Shugoki's oos oni punish with the patch. So f stupid. Like opponents every stick around to be parry baited. Plus it's dodgeable so it has a counter and shtty tracking.

That's not opening someone up. That's the person dodging on the wrong time and is made worse by the recovery after feinting. There is a very clear animation difference between a committed to charged heavy and demon embrace. if you're capable of spotting that you can easily dodge it on reaction. If you are attempting to parry goki's charged heavies you're doing it wrong.

There's three characters that have more HP than him. Three others have the same HP as him. So, no, no "muh lots of HP". He has **** HP. He should have 155.

Shugoki's most damaging attack doesn't do more damage than Raider's most damaging attack. So, no, no "muh dumugh".

His unblockables suck ****.

Still, if you have to deal with one Shugoki 1v1, there are enough moves to shut him down. Just need a good training for it. There are only problem with almost all new reworks. Good hero in duel now got too much potential in 4v4.
