Tired of seeing the opening screens that you cannot skip when you start up Splinter Cell: Conviction? Well, you're in luck; you are a member of the master race.

Follow these steps to rid yourself of them:

1. Nagigate to the following directory: <UL TYPE=SQUARE>C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction\data\Videos
"Program Files (x86)" would, of course, just be "Program Files" if you are using a 32-bit operating system.

2. Locate the following files:<UL TYPE=SQUARE>Logo_Clancy_01
Logo_ESRB_01
Logo_ESRB_02
Logo_MiddleWare_01
Logo_Ubisoft
3. Remove the files from the folder either by deleting them or by placing them somewhere else. I decided to create a folder within the folder they are meant to be in and place them in there, just in case Ubisoft decides to make these files required for some ridiculous reason in the future.

You can also move Logo_Loading_01, but I am not sure if doing so causes you to load any quicker.

The opening movies can be really annoying after some time. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

It's always the first thing, i'll make, if i'm firing up a new game;
If the intro isn't skippable i instantly press ctr-alt-del - to drop it off the line. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I recommend to rename them instead of deleting them, just in case a future patch is looking for them or when you uninstall the game so that it removes everything.

Simply add somethind like "backup_" into the name and the game cannot find the files any more, but they're still there if you need them. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
