So ive had my original xbox for 4 years now and my 360 for 1 1/2 years, and im getting a bit sick of shooters so i decided now that i have the money its about time I buy a wii.

Im already getting RE4: wii edition, boom blox, and Super Mario Galaxy.

What other games would you guys recommend?

Well i think its a very childish cheap system, the graphics are worse then the gamecube in most games. The games seem to be very very kiddish and cheesy and poorly made.

But i guess the gameplay can be more fun in some cases compared to the 360 and ps3.

What games coming out appeal to you more is also something you need to think about.Get on gamestops websites and look at games coming soon and see if they appeal to you and if your going to play them in the following years.

Gears of War 2 or Animal Crossing:City Folk?

I rest my case.

EDIT: Those are just my opinions, not trying too start a console war,if you have your heart set on a Wii more power to ya.

Haha, how about both?

I actually have played and love both franchises,so......

Animal Crossing looks to be a really stupid game before you start playing it but I played it for the GameCube a few years back and I loved it.

And actually, gears is a good franchise, but its not great. IMO gears is nothing special, it doesnt come close to halo or cod4.

Theres also stuff like Super smash brothers, SM galaxy, MOH:H2, others.

I dont know, something about motion control play really appeals to me I guess. And the graphics are NOT pre-gamecube.

But I mean like, I didnt start this thread to debate on weather or not i should buy a wii or not.

Well i hope you have fun with it.

A game that i think would be fun with the motion control would be The Force Unleashed, you should go preorder that.

Definitely get No More Heroes, its probably the most adult-oriented game on the Wii. Its a great game too from what I heard from my bro and others. I dont really know about the TLOZ: Twilight Princess, but check that out too since it is...a AAA brand for Nintendo.

You're getting a Wii. Welcome to the wide world of gaming. I own all three systems and enjoy all of them completely in different ways.

Here are some titles I own and recommend for the Wii.
The three you've chosen are great pick ups and musts.
LOZ: Twilight Princess; Excellent game, lots of fun and plays similar to that of Link To the past.
Mario Kart Wii: You may think it's another Doubledash, but I think it's the best in the series. Online is a requirement and a must. Battle online, isn't as good as the way it used to be. Now it's for the races that are fun and always entertaining no mater the skill level.
Zack and Wiki's Adventures: It's a puzzle game, probably more of renter but fun nontheless.
Metroid Prime 3: Shooting and being Samus never looked so good or played so well.
Trauma Centre: Oddly entertaining and fun. I didn't expect it to be but it was.
Super Paper Mario Bros.: Lots of fun. Good classic platforming action to boot.

I recommend Okami. lots of hours of play and a beautifully made game.
Though I haven't played them, I heard good things about No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, and Zack and Wiki.
Good choice on RE 4 and Super Mario Galaxy.
Hope that helps http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!!!!!
[Goes Hulk and smashes Grim's face in]
But seriously. I get tired of these accusation of "kiddish" games on the Nintendo systems. Sure they have more kid than games than the PS3 and Xbox360, but that's only because the only core genres those systems employ are
a) shooters
b) sports
c) other crap

Good Wii games are: Super Smash Bros Brawl; Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Kart, Boom Blox for the partygamers. Likewise for Mario Party 8.

Super Mario is a platformer. The only platformer that I can think of off the top of my head not light at heart and 'childish' would be Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Light-hearted doesn't mean that it's not quality. And just because a system has all violence and sports on it doesn't mean that it's good.
Super Mario games are always good, and I always look forward to the next platformer in the series. I'm 17.
I think you need to grow up, thinking your all big and bad because you have Metal Gear on your shelf. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Yeah I just bought one off of ebay after searching gamestop, walmart, kmart, and best buy for like 2 weeks with no luck.

SM galaxy & Red Steel (RS was only $3, ha!)

Turns out it was more expensive than I thought so I didnt have the money for the other games I was going to buy (ssbb and RE4 or boom blox) but I will prolly buy those games eventually.
