I'd love to have an option on the map display where you could have the player's plane always centered with the map scrolling... or (if that's too CPU intensive), have the map jump over when the player's plane reaches the edge so you don't have to keep closing and opening the map window to center your plane.

A full screen map toggle would be nice too... It would show the whole map, not just blow up the small one.

The ability to use keys to scroll around the map and center it would be a nice addition too.

If you use map icons on in dificulty settings, your'e plane will always be centered when you open the map.

That's correct, whith those settings (as mentioned by Akronnick), if you find the player's plane is approaching the edge, you only need to quickly toggle the map off/on and it will be centered again. For online use, you need to choose a server having the appropriate settings, of course.

A 'partial transparency' setting would be nice to have IMO, if I may add to the wishlist.

Id like to see another window like the map window.. but with a synopsis of the brief.

Absolutely. And great would be to open up a couple of recon photos, either those supplied by campaign engine or/and a couple of ones shot by the player and stored in a special "campaign/mission flight" briefcase.
