Suggestion

Link the landing pipper to the landing gear down function to remove it from the gunsight during combat.

If I am not the first to suggest it just count this as a vote for it.

Whats a landing pipper? A "thingie" only needed for landing that obscures and could be put down when not needed?
If so, that seams a good idea...

It is the pipper that shows where the plane is going.
(as opposed to the gun reticle that shows where the nose is pointed)

If you don't like it you could always fly with the cockpit on.

3.02b added some WW views without that flight vector stuff. It's like this now:

Cockpit
gunsight + gauges + vector
gunsight + gauges
gunsight + vector
gunsight
nothing
