Managed it a few times in a 190A9 too, does make your arm ache after a while (well my skinny one any way) holding the attitude, and careful rudder work increases altitude!

I found that once you get it balanced you bail and that holds the exact trim needed. As such I have a short track if anyone wants a copy. Its of that very flight taken at a point between those series of shots. I have also done this in a 262 but no recording as of yet.

Thats not exactly new, only more to add on the unexplained errors IL-2 has once in a while.

I remember a few similar errors.

Once, my aircraft's landing gear was destroyed by a vulcher's bombs (while i was taxying), and alltough the craft lost the gear he still "floated" as if the wheels were still there.

On several occasions with three or four specific planes (Mig3U, B-1, and a few others), i was able to land the aircraft, and when reaching a complete stop, i could force the machine to remain balanced on the front wheels alone.
The aircraft would end up perfectly balanced.

I watched a AI P-40 return to base and safely land with the entire tail missing.

When my plane suffers that fate I tend to go a$$hole over elbows

..............................
I always have just enough fuel to arrive at the scene of my crash.

hmmmm the hovering planes is a glitch... I'l admit that... I've seen hovering 262's. As for flying with no wing. it is somehow possible at least in FB... I doubt anyone in reality has even tried cause it would be a little different in the pit. As for flying with no tail... I belive that also as I have some pics taken back when I was skinning a Tu-2S where I inadvertantly blew my tail off from behind the wing.

to maintain it just drop flaps and apply full power. carefull with your ailerons and you can climb and descend. Descending is hard, I can't do it... dunno about anyone else. I still have a track if someone can help me make it downloadable.

damn I don't like this bb code thing.... I can't link to pics with spaces in the names as I can't put in the html code that marks a space.... aghhhhhh

Funny, but take a look at this track: http://symbiond.250x.com/pics/das_fliegende_grab.rar.html

Download it by *rightclick* "save target" and delete .html at the end of the filename. Then uncompress the file and move it to the records-folder in FB-directory.

It's a FB-Trackfile. What a 109 can do is nothing compared to what a La can do http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Interesting, I know in the old IL2, a pilotless plane would sometimes fly for minutes. But I've never seen this before

There was a thread: The weirdest thing you have seen in FB...

I think this one is ranking very high. :-)
