Anyone know if the earlier model P-38s are being worked on ? How far along are they etc?

Realy important planes. IMHO more important than torpedo bombers. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
Atleast for campaigns, naval battles are typically very short.

Where you going to fly them?? There are very few land-based operations in PF for the allies at all.
The only maps that have land-based Allied aircraft are Hawaii ( only one mission ), Midway and New Guinea. And those are all early to mid-war maps.
The only way to fly the P-38, P-51 or the P-47 are
all late war airstart missions, which are a waste of time. Who wants to fly a campaign when you can't even take off for land??

As far as I'm aware of, nobody is working on the early-mid P-38 models. Gibbage says he won't step up to bat, and at this point it's getting a bit late to add them.

If I had 3d Studio, I'd give it a shot myself. But alas, I don't, and couldn't afford it either.

As Koro mentioned, I don't think anyone has stepped up to do them. I think the changes externally are small in comparison to the large number of modifications needed to make the cockpit.

So we'll have to suffice with J and L models it seems. Two great ones however http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That's a real shame! Th P-38 has to be the most important USAAF fighter of the Pacific War, & the J s & Ls arrived pretty late.
Oh BTW P-38s flew over Guadalcanal & New Guinea so even without new maps they could be used. Personally the maps aren't as important to me as the aircraft match ups, with both sides having appropriate plane types. Gonna stink flying P-40s til 1944. What would **** Bong say ?
