Best Simulation: Combat Flight Sim 3
Publisher: Microsoft
Developer: Microsoft

There wasn't much here to see, but what did show was impressive. Standing out among its peers was Combat Flight Simulator 3, Microsoft's appropriately named third in the Combat Flight Simulator series of World War II dogfighters.

With a new graphics engine that emphasizes low flight combat, RPG elements, a robust multiplayer component that includes cooperative play, and all of the style, panache, and completeness that make a Microsoft flight simulator a Microsoft Flight Simulator, Combat Flight Sim 3 narrowly averted Ubi Soft's Lock-On and triumphed as the ace among the clouds.

The dogfight was intense, but even jet powered, technologically precise modern air combat couldn't bring down the innovative brilliance of this game... It involves throwing lots of bullets all over the damn place.

Runners Up:

Lock-On: Modern Air Combat

*COUGH*

This is similiar to the Chicago Tribunes printing up headlines of "Dewey Wins" in 1948 Presidential election...

About as accurate.
