That MP 40 is very similar the M45 Carl Gustav I used in the army.Same saftey,but we had a metal piece inserted where the shells came out so you could not fire until it was pulled out.

The 200 meter sight on the MP40 is a bit optimistic in my opinion. Seems to me the M1896 Mauser (Broomhandle) had it's rear sight adjustable to 1000 meters, showing much optimism in their small arms.
