Has anyone come across cockpits either homebuilt or commercial that are specific to World War 2?
I have seen the Akers Barnes type home built, and the commercial Aimsworth one's.

However generally speaking they are mostly aimed at a fair representation of an F 16.
The only World War 2 sites I have come across are about actually building a cockpit either for a restoration or a full simulator.

Does anyone use one or have built one thats appropriate to this sim at all ?

Thanks.

I've seen a post waaay back linked to a site that had pics of a two different dudes that built almost realisitic WWII cockpits of a Spit and a 109. The 109 was made all of wood and fiberglass and the Spit was made of metal and wood (exact replica mind you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )... both to be used for flying flight sims on a PC. Both had openable/closeable canopies, the 109 pit had to put in a door like the Typhoon just so the player can get in and out, the Spit was replicated just as it was. Lost the site to a format, hopefully somebody knows what Im talking about and has the link... or you can google homebuilt cockpits... I think Ill do that now. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There's an entire forum devoted to it at http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=137

there's a few making pretty good mockups of FW190s at

And if you can read French (or at least figure out metric try
