Hey everyone wouldn`t it be cool for all the Nintendo fans could play AC (Assassin`s Creed) on Wii or even the Game cube? i mean the Grafic dosen`t have to look like on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 right ? and ibet they could bring both systems to their limits.

I'm still betting that there will probably be a version of this game for Nintendo... even though it might not have the best graphics or the most 'free-roamable' cities... Ubi usually releases games like this for all platforms... so there has to be SOMETHING http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

JN loves his job too much, we could have beaten it out of him otherwise http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

While it's true Ubi usually does all-system titles (PoP, Splinter Cell, etc.), the requirements for AC may just be too much for the Wii. To make up for that, this March, Prince of Persia: Rival Blades will come out for just the Wii and PSP. RB is a remake of PoP: Two Thrones. Same game, just using the Wiimote/porting it to a handheld. That, to me, signals AC will most likely not make an appearance on Wii, PSP, or DS. But honestly, could they even make a comparable came on any of them? PS3, 360, and PC are where it is and where it should stay. Could be wrong, but I'm pretty confident I'm right.

I gotta' say "No Way" on this one. You can't just port a 360 or PS3 game to the Wii, you really gotta' build it from scratch (at least the interactions have to be built from scratch). The Wii is a nifty trinket (I own one), but it really isn't designed to be a next gen system. However, Assassin's Creed is a decidedly next gen game. It's apples and oranges, I'm afraid.

Gamecube couldn't handle Assassin's Creed.

There is a chance that they will make a Wii port for Assassin's Creed. But I doubt it.

That is why the above posters said dumb down the graphics...

I feel they should, but Nintendo players wouldn't get DLC. I'm not sure about PS3 either, can they get DLC?

Even with dumb downed graphics, Gamecube couldn't handle it...

How so? The controls would be complicated, but it could, right?

EDIT: Guess I'm wrong.

Current Nintendo systems (Wii, GameCube, DS, GBA, etc) aren't really powerful enough to run Assassin's Creed, sorry!

Okay, I was just curious.

Ahh... but didn't I hear the same tune from PS3 fanboys when they said that AC could never come out for the 360? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

In any case, knowing Ubi's history, I doubt if they'd be doing the right thing and getting the most gamers if they don't release something (dumbed down even) for the Wii... seeing that the Wii is outselling the PS3 2 to 1, I think they might have some considerations in mind.

But for now, I shall just sit back and see what comes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Neither the Wii nor the GC can handle th AI system as it's planned to be very, very heavy with the crowds. To port it for a Nintendo system they would have to remove the crowds and that would destroy the game.

Erm... y'know they did almost the same thing with the WW and TT ports for Prince of Persia, right? On the PSP?

Once a game gets popular, the developer doesn't care if anything destroys the game, they just try to get it on to as many systems as possible.

If this version of AC isn't going to be on the Wii, I can bet that future sequels of it might be.

Yes yes, again, I know Nintendo's systems are not powerful enough. But that still won't stop them if they wanted something special anyway!

SCREW NINTENDO!!!!!!! if they really want to play assassins creed then they should get a PS3 or 360. Ubi shouldent make it compatable for the wii or gamecube.
Horrible idea.

... and yet another logical and rational point-of-view undoubtedly made through lots of market research and interviews with Ubisoft executives, by a consolepower-hungry fanboy...

Actually, i feel that the vast cities and the complicated AI would take UBI 20 cds or so to fit in all the material to port it to Nintendo, n graphics r a very important aspect of the game 2

The Wiimote would be the only good thing about this game on the Wii. But it won't happen. Nintendo's not cool enough. They are weak and would start to cry after their finger was cut off. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gifyep you got it all the way http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif I don't think I know a Nintendo player over 10 years old http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif Xbox players will apreciate the ammount of violence http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I agree that this won't be on the wii I don't agree with the violence reason if anyone remembers Resident Evil was a Gamecube timed exclusive for quite a while and if you think about it there's alot of games on nintendo that will be and are pretty violent they even the tone in Twilight Princess while not much was alot darker than past games wii will be open to violence this time around

and I am very loyal to Nintendo (not only nintendo i own all 3 last gen consoles and a ps3 but i've always backed nintendo) and i'm older than 10 soo hah =P http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif
