Don't know about you, but when I'm sitting in line on the runway waiting to take off, the dust kicked up by the planes in front gives a useful indication of when it's my turn to take off.

Takes the guesswork out of it, and now there's no need for externals, or parking the plane at an angle.

A small detail, but very useful IMO.

Your take on this feature?

I like the dust clouds too. It makes it easier to locate a plane taxiing for takeoff and even distinguishes its direction!

Makes the "vulch" that much more effective of a tactic. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Thanks Oleg.

It's also very handly when your comming in for landing on a busy airfield, you can see a mile away where everybody else is.

I noticed (after chasing a runaway 109) that if you run near the ground the trailing dust will partially obscure your plane from the rear, only useful against noobs though

I like the dust, but:

Coop hosts should allow externals, especially if they require take-offs from airfields. Externals allows a guest to watch the action of others, and enjoy the show, if his plane is lost in combat.

If externals are not allowed, then have air-starts. Take-off's with no externals is a bit tough, and can ruin a whole coop mission if planes collide on the ground.

FWIW,

I was really enjoying a snow map on takeoff when the airplane ahead of me kicked up a bunch of snow in the face http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
