Hi all, quite new to this forum, so first off:

this game rocks more than anything has ever rocked before http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

on my last cruise around scapa flow the following radio message from bdu came in:

"ALLIED WARSHIP at coord. blah speed blahblah
distance 500sm."

until now i only got enemy convoy and warship contacts, so i was quite anxious to get to the bugger. The mark on the map stated it to be a blockade runner. wild phantasies on helping an allied ship in dire need, fighting through a blockade ran in my head. And most of all, which ally would that
be, just west off the norwegian coast in 1940?
i plotted course and regularly checked with my radio officer for location updates.
but soon i discovered the bugger was not moving at all. on top of that, when i finally reached location, no ship was around. quite some dissapointment. (4 c3 cargos had to pay for this

my question is, has anyone run into something similar? is it broken, or did anyone actually encounter an allied warship? let me know
couldn't find anything on the forum about this

It should have been Admiral Hipper, or if in the mediterranean, an italian destroyer, the allied ships the game has doesn't allow a wide choice. What I've never tried is going to the bismark sunking position in may 1941.

Anyway, I never found a similar situation, although I'm pretty sure that this one was sunk before you made the... 500sm!!!!!
