Don't know if Oleg pops into this forum often but would be curious to know if he and his team would ever consider creating a WW1 sim. This is a vastly overlooked market for historical sims. Red Baron 3d seems to still be the best ever produced, at least until next year when Knights Over Europe comes out. Still, with Oleg's talent I can only begin to envision what a sim full of his uniquely crafted bi-planes would be like. WW1 sims have always been my favorite and I only wish there were more quality ones out there. As of late most have been arcade-style. I would think creating one would be less complicated for programmers as the planes themselves were so much more simplistic. This would give designers more time to devote to campaigns and creating more intensive landscape scenery. Anway, just my two cents worth.

Chris

PS. Oh, if anyone is taking this nder serious considereation I have a wish list to share http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

From what I've heard , Oleg is not interested due to the lack of hard data on flight characteristics. This seems believeable to me. Can you imagine the whining on FMs when nothing but anecdotal evidence is available. It's too bad but atleast RB is still going strong.

I see your point. However, amazingly there are still some replicas out there and people who fly them. I suppose anyone wanting to create a WW1 sim could use Red Baron as a basis for their flight models http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Also, a lot of old books by the real pilots themselves are still in existence which attest to what it was like to fly those old crows and some are quite detailed as to flight characteristics.

Horrido!

I belive there could be :

-ww1 sim
-battle of britain sim
-futuristic sim
-bird sim
-bug sim
-anything sim

I and many, would try anything oleg throws at us, at least once.
Olegs team really has done something special, and even shows some care of the customers.
some of us waited for that trough CFS1 and 2 era and ms flight sim era but it never came.
Maybe those companies were to big for caring?
