I'll take as many AI AC as they will give.......co-op and campaigns willget a much needed boost in possible scenerios...obviously flyable is prefered but don't shut a door because you see no need to open it...... most flyables in all releases started as AI inclusions..

It's good to be kept up to date on AI planes in the works but I'd really like to see an update on planes planned to be made flyable....

it was extreemly manouvreble
it was only beaten by the Ki-27 in that area(not counting in biplanes)

here is some info on it:
Russian evulation of the A5M

part I

With the claude, can we please have a china map, a ki 27 and an avg campaign?

"Do we need it NO!http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif."

Well we don't NEED it, but we do WANT it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Smell's like a "Flying Tigers over china" scenario/map in the makings :-))

Chuck_Older

Well, we need two maps for that, Southern China, and Burma. I'll settle for the right aircraft to make some AVG scenarios, but if we do get the right maps, so much the better

The A5M totaly out classes the Curtiss HawkII or II but I would love to have the Curtiss Hawk II and/or III

?? HawkII and A5M4 (which the thread was about) aren't really contemporaries. HawkII is a 1932 design, A5M4 debuted 6 years later

WOHOOO!! I love this plane!.

Welcome! Great if its flyable, but I'll take it also as AI. I only play offline, and AI planes are vital to have diverse missions. I don't necessarily want to fly every WWII plane, but I want to see them all during missions.

Well, they fought each other in China.

This is great, just what the japs need now, a slow, manoeverable, fragile and under gunned aircraft prone to burning and being shot down easily!
I think I will fly it as often as the other pre 1939 aircraft in the game! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

the claude looks excellent i hope it dont have reversed mapping on the tail. Well this one definatly needs to become flyable now all we need is the ki-27 nate for a good avg theater.

all the new models look really well made especially the japanese ones.

Flyable--lets hope. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Until then, to join with AI A5M formations, been thinking of how to use Ki~43Ia as A5M or Ki~27, much like the Desperate used Yak~1 as Spit~1 before the AEP.

Disable langing gear command, set combat flap and disable flap command, open canopy then disable canopy command, depending on power/mass, possibly disable higher throttle setting commands--won't help much if you have throttle up/down keys working. mmm

Snootles. You is right. Claudes were part of the Shoho fighter complement and attempted to fight off the US strike group that overwhelmed poor little Shoho. One of the Shoho's Claudes, along with a couple of zeros, apparently survived the fight and made it to an island base.
Claudes were also based at Rabaul in the early part of the war. I don't know if they saw any fighting there.
All we need now is the Shoho and a map that contains Rabaul!

What's needed are more players interested in using historical plane sets with the lower technology aircraft and servers that do not also include the later period aircraft. This game has degenerated into server after server of fantasy plane sets with nearly every player picking out the best performing aircraft.I have noticed also that when someone does host a dogfight game on the HL with a historical plane set it rarely gets more than a few players joining.
