online in WC or other server, i keep 3 to 4, because soooo much can happen in one very busy second. so if theres a call out on bandits, i ddint lose the message.

I keep mine at 2 for a max. I seem to get my stutters online if it is higher than that, but this could be mostly from my son and my niece chewing up all my stinking bandwidth with their web cams and chat programs!

Hello JtD http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I only ever use one line since I don't want to be distracted by constantly reading them or get caught typing a reply!

3 is best. I'd use 5 if the font was smaller.

15 lines.

Part of being an ace involves brilliant situational awareness.
My team directs me to the area, and I point *****.

Change one of those "4" votes to "5". I seem to be one of the exceptions rather than the rule for number of lines, but I do run a pretty high resolution. They don't seem to get in my way, and I rarely miss cries of "Help!" from Mustang drivers... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I keep it at 5, at 1280x1024 it doesn't get in the way. Any smaller and a sudden flood of "Cheat has been detected!" or "...is roatsed extra crispy/burns down with the plane" messages can move it too fast.
