I am an elected officer of our local IPMS (International Plastic Modelers Society) club here in Jax, Fla.

We have a big modelers convention coming up the weekend of Oct 8-9. We are having a speacial guest speaker at this contest. Check out his experience.

I'm tempted to take my 'puter with me and set it up in my hotel room during the weekend contest. As a fellow retired Naval Aviator, I think I (along with other members, one being a current CO of a VS squadron, and the other a retired three star Admiral) can talk'em into it with the secret hand-shake ;-). I believe I can get him to come by my room to compare and contrast the F-6F vs the A-6M in PF, as well as the basic FM characteristics, and DM in this game. I'm sure his knowlege of other fighters in the game will be quite interesting to here.

I'll keep a hand written record of everything he says, then post it here.

Ask their opinions of history being held for ransom by the ship and aircraft companies http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Being a plastic model convention they're being hammered on too.

Hopefully, the latest patch will be out by October 8th. It looks like I will be setting up my computer in the conference room he will be giving his presentation. Hope he digs the CH Fighterstick, Pro throttle, and rudder pedals with the track IR. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

The hotel has wireless internet access in all its room and in the conference room as well. If I get him to fly on-line, he'll be flying under my tag that Saturday night.

I'm sure he'll think this is a kewek game, but I'm interested in his comments toward the Hellcat, and the Zero's performance individually, and against each other since he has test flown both aircraft during the war.

I'll also be looking forward to seeing what his comments about ammo strengths, and damage models will be. Particularly the .50 cals on German aircraft.

It looks to be a very interesting evening since I personaly won't have anything ready for the model contest. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

One sugestion, set it up early and test it. Evertime I go to a LAN I have to reinstall Track Ir. I have no clue why either. I make sure I plug it and all the chords in the same place as I took them out too.

I'll bee looking for you, and will gladly fly wing or Cannon Fodder for him.

If need be we can use my TS for comms too. If you want PM me and I can set you up early on it.

Thanx, I all ready have the back of my 'puter mapped out to what goes were.. good precaustion. The only thing I'm dreding is my 24" viewable monitor that weighs a TON.

We'll probably be up on the Blacksheep Teamspeak server so my guys will get to meet him. I'll probably let a few friends pop on to comms with us while he's flying.

Hope he's interested enough to fly for awhile in order to get the real feel...

Be *very* interested to see what he thinks about the .50's.....
