Here are some recent shots of my local hobby airport. Not many planes visible on this day, only three to be precise and I couldn't identify any of them! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Enjoy the **** pics. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Anyone know this plane?

This is obviously a two-seater stunt plane. Looks "Russian" for some reason. Yakovlev?

I don't think we get enough general aviation pictures in this forum. Thanks for sharing.

The first guy is a Beech Bonanza 35 V-tail. Still very popular and common.

The second is definitly a Yakolev 52, with that distinctive "Yak tail" and engine cowling.

Third guy is a Piper Archer.

Where in Germany were these pictures taken?

I´m not an expert of these but first one look like Beech baron Bonanza, second one Yak 52 and third one Piper of some kind,Cherokee maybe.

Yay for the Piper! I fly a Cherokee 140. Cool shots, despite how boring you say they are.

Its close. The "Experimental" IDs it as a Modifyed version. Possibly homebuilt.

Dosen't seem to be many people around, couldn't you have borrowed one for a few circuits and bumps? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Cawimmer - to be perfectly honest, I think you should post some more pictures with your sister in them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Not **** at all, I really enjoyed them!
This forum should have more civil-aviation pictures; anyone want to volunteer to drive out to their local airfield? Maybe one set/forum member per week or so? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

A tad more contrast + a frame and those are magazine-worthy!

Either that Cessna had its throttle to the firewall just to keep up with the Beech, or the Beech is on the edge of stall speed just to give the Cessna a chance!

...a slight exaggeration, of course, but still. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thats not necessarily what "Experimental" means. It just means that the aircraft in question has no type certification in the country(or aviation authority) it is registered in and thus cannot be considered as a FAA, JAA or TCA certifiable aircraft.

Curious. Had no idea that the landing gear of the Yak 52 was "semi" retractable. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Hi guys!

Thanks for the warm responses, really appreciate it. I always make it a point to stop by and see what's new at this airport, but it's been pretty dead lately. On that day, it was really ghost town!

But thanks for the warm responses! Will try to get more cool pictures. By the way, I visited the Deutsches Museum in Sleissheim and checked out their aircraft museum. Sadly my batteries went dead about 3/4 through but I got a lot of cool pictures. Will post them ASAP. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

SWIVET: LOL, thanks! That's my dad's ride. 1989 Mercedes 500SL with a 326-hp V8. Drinks like a mother! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
