Someone posted in an earlier thread that the Det 50 drivers don't support perfect mode which is why they are not being recommended in FB, I checked this and here are the results.
The sea isn't as blue as it was but the ripples are there and there is some cross hatching along the coastline I've never noticed before, otherwise it look like perfect mode.
BTW Det 50 drivers on FX5600 Ultra.
Sorry the pics are big - didn't want to lose detail in compression.

how many FPS are you getting? I have a GeForce FX 5900 but I can't get more than 30 fps in perfect mode, I think my cpu is the problem (P4 2ghz)

Yeah I get the crosshatching on my Radeon 9700Pro as well...but it doesn't detract from the sheer beauty of Perfect mode. I get around 45-50FPS on that mode (Althon 2700+).

Definately looks about as good as mine does...very close anyways.

Don't normally use perfect mode - too slow - just wanted to see if Det 50 supported perfect mode.
I'm still trying to find out why UBI are recommending the older drivers /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Then take a closer look at picture 2 and 3 and you will see why.

Picture 2 has texture corruption on the shores and in picture 3 there are some weird blue spots on the shore lines.

Just noticed the texture corruption on the shores in picture 1 as well.
