Salute everybody!

I urgently need FB maps which have items on them, like airfield locations and grid lines. The maps that come with the game (on CD2) are no good at all because they dont have the grid , airfields or anthing else.

Some time ago I downloaded Crimea map at sturmovik technica, but it seem that that site has been hacked and I cannot find the downloads section on it to look for the maps myself.
If anyone could give me the URL to the download section, that would be great.

I need tha Stalingrad map in particular.
Thank you.

Technika has been closed, not hacked.

Go here:
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/il2guide/maps.htm

Look for the Zip icon with the caption "All FB maps, JPG format". It's a 15MB download. The L'vov, Smolensk and Moscow maps have been converted to PDF format for A4 printing because they're being used in Forgotten Wars, but at least the JPGs have the grid references and airstrip locations you ask for.

Cheers,
Mike

Thank you Michampa.
I've already downloaded the maps but I need further assistance please.

Whn I open the map in Photoshop the background is pink (!?) instead of yellow and I cannot see anything.
I wanted to select a part of the map (around the Stalingrad) and the enlarge it and print it in BW on my printer. The idea is to have a "topological" map of the area in order to navigate easily.

Can you tell me how to remove this pink background?

On the other hand when I open it with Windows picture and fax viewer, i cannot crop it and when I print it entirely on A4 the icons and names are too small, and the landscape cannot be seen 8very light and blury).

Can you give me some guidelines as how to proceed?
Thanks in advance.

You might try loading the map you want in Full Mission Builder, taking a screenshot then working with the screen shot in Paintshop Pro....

Tully has an excellent suggestion. In fact, these maps were made in the same way, the grid numbers were simply added over pasted screenshots in some image editing program such as Photoshop (I didn't do it myself).

There is no pink background when I view the JPG files. If you can't get it to work with Photoshop, an excellent freeware image viewer is XnView: www.xnview.com (http://www.xnview.com)

Cheers,
Mike

Why do you want to take the complicated approach using screenshots? The Maps are included on CD 2...

Two detailled maps (Prokhorovka and Lvov) are to be found in the Download-Area of www.Sturmovik.de (http://www.Sturmovik.de) as well.
