I have to ask this question again:

I am on mission 50, or thereabouts, of the Experten Campaign (Vol I)....can I simply overwrite somehow the remaining missions with the New Vol II missions and continue on with my campaign (Under Vol II parameters),
OR Must I re-start the Experten (II) campaign from scratch with mission number One???

I dont fly campaigns that much, because I'll get so into them, then die, and that'll ruin it all. I usually just fly QMB all the time. I'll set up wacky DF's, like a 262 against a P11, or an I16 against an La7, I just have fun.

Cool! I can't wait to get started. I have one question. After the patch, will the campaign still work right? Different FM's being the concern.

Quick question.

Will your stats from Vol I be tranferred over to Vol II?

again thx,best missions i ve evered played.S!

After it was refeuled i climbed in.With many manipulations the mechcanics started the turbines.I followed their actions with the greatest of interest. The first one started quite easily.the second caught fire.In no time the whole engine was on fire.Luckily as a fighter pilot i was used to getting quickly out of the cockpit. The fire was quickly put out.The second plane caused no trouble - Adolf Galland (first time in a ME262)

Thanks Snoopy

Like somebody else posted above, I'm curious if the campaign is tweaked for the current pre-patch status of XP or keeps the changes the patch will make in mind?

Or does it really matter since they are historical and the patch will only adjust the difficulty?

You can copy all the campaigns (not campaign.cfg or info.txt) from Experten-vol-2 and paste them into Experten-vol-1 this will maintain your stats.

But please bear in mind the is a demo of Experten Vol II which will be replaced appx October.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you ( & perhaps others who take the time & trouble to design campaigns & skins too...) for your efforts. I really enjoy the widening aspects of these missions expansions, that in many ways differ from the logic & design of those that come "pre-packed" in the game.I feel as if I'm a collector, filling out the "potential of what the game can become. I ,like others look forward to new maps & new campaigns( like the Med, Battle of Britain, Europe, etc.) to see what you & others will be able to do with them too.
I have only one gripe, really, & that is I'll never have the time, to actually do all that I already have downloaded! I think I actually finished one campaign when I still played the original Il-2 Sturmovik...so technocally I really should go back & do the rest on that game, but the possibilities ( & 5 different pilot careers ,going) of FB have me hooked ( tho I'm waiting for that patch before doing much with Focke-Wulfs...)
So thanks to you( & others ..http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I look forward to the whole Experten vol II,when it arrives..
Cheers!

Thanks very much! Downloaded Vol II yesterday and played the first two missions last night. Lots of fun. As in Vol I, I really appreciate both the historical detail and the humour in the mission briefings. In my opinion, the briefings alone make this campaign worthwhile! But the missions are very good too.

It is interesting though, even though I do not play these campaigns using the exact recommended full-realism settings (I like to see map details and have not embraced full engine management), that my flight behaviour has been heavily modified by these campaigns. I am much more likely to turn tale and run if combat conditions are not heavily in my favour and regard getting home alive as much more important than knocking down enemy aircraft! I suspect this mirrors the true attitude of a WWII combat pilot! Before it was all about getting as many kills as possible.

Please bear with me...I was confused at first, but now it is clear(I think):

What I have done is copy the VolII mission files(*.mis and *.properties) for all the VolII missions (100-200) and placed them into the VolI folder along with Vol I's missions 1-99.

I am now on Vol I mission number 61. I assume that I will just keep on flying this current career(begun as VolI campaign) right on thru without any pause from mission 99 thru 100 and on to the end at Msn 200, with all my current stats carried forward. I will then see the new changes/improvements in the appearance/action of missions beginning with mission 100.

uhh..Right??

Vol. I-Very good campaign, thanks.

Survived 38 missions, before colliding with my wingman while looking for our airfield.

Flying, without map lines certainly adds to the difficulty, but does make one pay attention to landmarks. Have to work on navigation skills.

Flying to stay alive limited the air to air victories to 15, but that seems closer to reality than other campaigns I've used.
