Good news from Saitek!

The X-52 mouse issue is being addressed as we speak and a permanant fix should be released in a new driver package in a few months.

Until then, Saitek recomends disabling the magic mouse in your device manager.

What is this suppose to fix?
I just tried this and couldn't use hat 1 to look around. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
I'm getting used to this HOTAS and don't really want to take it back but it's costing me a whole lot of money. I just had to spend and order some CH pro Pedals so I can disable that stupid twisty stick http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Well, just put it back if you did'nt have an issue.
Some folks, like me, have been expieriancing a "Rouge Mouse" it takes off in all kinds of directions on its own.

Ok, I wasn't sure what you were talking about.Hope they fix the fact that if you want the mouse stick to be buttons like in the x 45 you can.
I just read your first post again not for a few months. Hopfully they have not been very consistant the past on drivers.

That rouge mouse is a ROAL pAIN IN THE BUTT when your flying IL2. Your View follows the mouse, so it pretty much kills the game.

Do you mean the mini stick?
If you do...go into the programmer and use Clear Programming for the mini stick, to clear out all preprogrammed goop
Then set up Bands: 1 top, 1 middle (very small) and 1 lower...1 left, 1 middle (very small) and 1 right.
I have my views assigned to this

..................Toggle POV

.......Cockpit view (n) Outside view

..................Flyby view

Though when doing this, I had to play around with the programmer and keys to get the keys to bind in the correct orientation

What is the quality of the twisty rudder on the X52 stick? I'm thinking of upgrading to x52 from my Logitech, it can't be worse than Logitech, I already had to exchange one under warranty after the twist rudder craped out after 3 months. Plus I've never been really satisfied with the precision of Logitech rudder. How does x52 compare?

nothing is as bad as logitech joysticks, the only thing logitech make are mice .

I got the x52 mouse drift once and unplugged the JS and replugged it in and haven;t had any issues . As for the sloppiness of the x52 its my only complaint. It has gone from mega stiff with my x45 to the other end of the scale
