Man oh man, just last night I shot down a friend of mine flying fast near the ground. As I flew just above his explosion, I actuall felt my aircraft rise, and experienced the turblence from the blast! Now THATS Realism to the 1st degree! Thanks Oleg!

I dont care how many whiners are out there that read or post to this thread, but as for me, here is my rating for this Simulation compared to ANYTHING ELSE out there of the same genre...

For Imersive Quality: A+++
For Quality Control: A+++
For Attention to Details: A+++
For Damage Modeling: A+++
For Research & Developement: A+++
For Multiplayer Capability: A+++

For the ability to market the product to a larger audience and attract "new blood": C- http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

(Personally, I dont understand why anyone would not like to own every single addon for IL2)

This simulation is a remarkable, fantastic product, and if Oleg's Battle of Brittan can Kick it up another notch, I will probable have to force myself to take sleeping pills to get some rest from it.

So here's my whine, Whaaaa... Gimme sleep pills, sleep pills... LOL

Is my post count low enough to let me into the club ? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I agree with fuser59. I don't know enough to rate the game on realism of each plane. I just fly what I've got.

But it FEELS great ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Low post counts mean squat as far as how long anyone has been playing or been around. Low post counts mean that the m8 doesn't speak very often, but when he does, it has usually been well thought out and he has something to say worth listening to. And it seems to hold true for the m8 that cranked this one up.

Btw, I am working on purchasing every addon that is worth having. As of today, I have Battle Over Europe, Case Blue, BANZAI, The Last Days, and Operation Barbarossa. I will pick up Rebirth of Honor next month and its siblings from month to month until I get all of them. This sim is about ran its course, and I am just rounding it out now. HEHE!

IL2/FB is by far the best sim out there. It does nearly everything perfect. To be honest where it may fail is certainly not enougn to stop this being the BEST sim out there. By far.

pretty much agree with the original poster in all regards but the immersion factor. there's so much more that should have been done to breath life and soul into the game that wasn't. For BOB (if it actually ever gets made), 1c really needs to look some other sims to see how they've integrated soul into their games. 1c has all the techie stuff dialed in (ie formulas, eye candy) but that's about it. Oh, the sound. The original poster forgot to mention how bad the sound sucks in this game. Address that issue and immersion factor shoots up drastically.

if you don't have anything nice to say....
don't say anything at all.

many of us don't post here because of the flame wars. I used to log in as ruekesj, but about
2 1/2 years ago, i was so disappointed with the childish behavior on this sight, i stopped looking and forgot my password.

i think it is refreshing to see some praise for a company that, yes does make money, but provides us with entertainment they don't have to provide. not to mention, FREE updates.

i respect Fuse's point of view, because he doesn't say much, but when he does, it's worth listening to.

Totally agree with ya there Fuser...Best sim i've ever owned as well, nothing compares to it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

As far as the rest of the whiners and the low post counts. Try enjoying the sim, instead of posting useless dribble about low post counts, nobody really cares....... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
Now get out there and fly!.That's an order! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Fuser Im feeling ya.... this is the only piece of software that has held my intrest daily since day one... hands down the top dog of WW2 sims. There is nothing that even comes close to it in all the points that matter.
