Marching Fire launched on Tuesday so been an intense week.

Issues they have been resolving

They know there is a big issue for European PS4 players with the pre-order, they have resolved them being unable to access Marching Fire content. Those affected who log in between now and Monday will get compensation, if it still doesn't work let them know.

Live update

They found an exploit in the tiandi sacrifice feat that gave infinite stamina until they died so that has been fixed. They have a proper fix in a few weeks that will bring back stamina as part of that feat, until then it doesn't give stamina.

Usually on xbox you can share a game between users on the same xbox with gameshare, this had cut off season pass and marching fire content so this should be fixed, like with PS4 issues if this still doesn't work let them know in case there was a problem hidden by this problem.

Tougher bots, the threshold in mmr went down in the update, this has been fixed.

This wasn't an arcade issue but the bot level threes in arcade had a spike in difficulty which will be looked into.

They ask that anyone on reddit use the bug/glitch flare when reporting bugs to make this easier to see for them. They changed a lot of things in Marching Fire, they knew there would be bugs, so tell them any they have missed. For the sake of transparency, they have a known issues list on the forum.

They have a few streamers on twitch which they will have twitch drops for watching between 17th and 22nd. Ten minutes gets you an xp boost, 30 minutes and you get two xp boost and a scavenger crate, an hour gets you a scavenger crate and three days champion status, four hours gets you two scavenger crates and seven days champion status. Rewards will be given between 22nd and 23rd. They would like to see suggestions on who people would like if they do this program again. They are monitoring breach balancing on each map, any feedback is good feedback.

They have started doing breach orders, though the balance of reward may be a little off, they are looking into it.

When you do arcade matches very fast, rewards are pretty low. This is especially true in grey rarity. They are aware and working on it. They are also looking at the difficulty, there are many parameters that define activity, the latter two only have level three bots which are difficult to begin with but then you add modifiers and gear modifiers plus the player nerf. They are looking at things like this.

Some patch highlights.

Ranked has new rewards.

They are looking at divisions in ranked, it seems how ranked splits the community is a little off.

Now in dominion you can see how many of your friends are online. This applies to breach and arcade also. Arcade in co-op is very fun, been there and survived one.

They revamped some of the pre faceoff screens, you can see what heroes your teammates are picking as you choose yours and you can see their perks.

They have six new in game achievements around breach and wu lin as you would expect.

They will have more victory poses in the future.

Custom matches have dedicated servers if you start with a group, if you start alone and people join it is still peer to peer.

Team swap in breach between attacking and defending if you stay in a match.

They also have team shuffle, this does affect teamswap in that they balance the teams first, they swap as many players as they can. One important thing is they do not break groups with team shuffle.

Another thing in the matchmaking, they try to give you the side you didn't play last match, obviously this isn't 100%

Higher res textures and xbox 1 intelligence delivery. Xbox updated their system recently, the intelligent delivery system allows them to add new packs to your game, this enables people to download extra packages they don't have by default, xbox 1 players can download higher res that appear on the heroes menu that PC has by default. This is why the patch size was smaller for console, they can't do this on PS4 yet as they don't have the technology on Sony's side. This is also why console patch size was smaller. You can also download an audio package.

They reduced the prices of the first set of DLC heroes to 10,000 steel each, the price of the bundle which unlocks all heroes is at 25,000 steel down from 50,000 steel.

If you re-enter matchmaking within five minutes after your last match you will meet different players, find new player in duel now does as it says.

Ranked, if your opponent quits you will actually win the match and thus get rank.

Colour swatches, they did some bug fixes to put in a few that had been taken out. They reminded us that they are looking at maybe allowing us to customise colour swatches, it is one option they are looking at. They don't want to just unlock neutral, tests again and again, with good experienced players, have shown that it impacts the game. So what they said over custom is an option they are looking at, they are also looking at a toggle as people have suggested, they don't know how easy that is to do. No ETA on any of this whichever or whatever else they go with.

Based on open test results they increased breach xp gain by 55% and steel by 20%

They have an incoming patch (no date yet) with a truckload (Damien's word) of bug fixes.

There is no youtube video currently and I can't guarantee not having to step out or miss anything when writing, so I'll recap the Den when I find a video or when I have the twitch video on demand (difference being I can pause this whereas I can't pause twitch).

Toggle option is not imo the best option for using the neutral colors. A part of wanting to use neutral colors is that everyone can see your character in that way....

It is still pending that they can add neutral colors to defenders and attacker according to their colors (for example the color from Medusa’s mask is green and can fit as defender color)

The toggle option is more about tailoring your experience and nothing is forced on you or others. There are already toggle options for effects, dismemberments, blood, UI, etc. for a variety of personal preferences. Even though you may want others to see your expression, they may not want to see it for a variety of reasons or really care in general.

The key benefit of the toggle option is that many players finally get to see their characters as intended and will no longer feel cheated after grinding so long or paying for steel to buy outfits they don't get to see in most game modes. Many content creators, streamers, and video uploaders would benefit from this too. The toggle option would be a good middle ground but feel free to suggest other possibilities.

This only applies in scenarios where there are players who prefer team colors but also would like to see a close resemblance to the expressions of other players but the toggle option would not be dependant on this. Increasing the range of team colors would be an ongoing issue even after the implementation of the toggle option and custom color swatches. However, I do agree that team colors need an more options because there are those that prefer team colors and we can't forget the color blind.

Why not just make it so that locally, you see your character in the colours that you choose but remote clients (i.e. other players) see the generic team colour?

They said they are going to do that. That's how the toggle option will work for the most part. However, they can't give an ETA on it.
