Im not sure if anybody had the suden urge like I did to shoot the people on the pier or seaguls. I am here to tell you its safe, absolutely no seaguls or nurses were harmed during testing. just in case anyone wanted to let off some steam lets say at the band for playing that same song evertime when setting out to sea http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I too am getting sick of Deutschland Uber Alles (especially after sailing to Penang and having it there to greet me) so there should be a mod where you can pass the bandleader 50 DMs and have him kick up "Beer Barrel Polka".

Why don't you change it? It's Fanfara_01.wav in the sound folder. You can replace it with any other file you like, my band plays the tune from Monty Python for Instance. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The first think I'm having it do is play "Lady" from Styxx, becuase (admit it guys) that would the the funniest song for a U-Boat to set sail to.

You have to convert it to a mono wav file of course.

And what happens if I use a stereo encoded .wav? Silence, or crash? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I already went through the trouble of converting from MP3 to .WAV (the original band wave file is like 2mb, mine is 27...guess just a longer loading time.)

To be honest I dunno why they even included that band wave file to begin with, the Encarta 1995 cdrom has better sound quality then that

I set mine to Slayer's Reign in Blood.

A great song to depart to, especially under stormy skies. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Just for giggles and grins, "Burning Bridges" from Kelly's Heros would be a good one too.

I wish I could bet Oddball's face in the game for the Watch officer too.

It would be "For those about to rock" ACDC for me or "Iron man" from Black Sabbath they still would be an awsome out going song. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

D'oh, I just realized that the music that I had wasn't coming from the band, but from my gramophone. The band didn't like my converted MP3 to WAV file, and refused to play it (though they did mime it !). Same format, 1 channel, 200mhz WAV format, no play by band. I suspect the game is looking for a specific file size (or maybe has a maximum size for that WAV ?) or my converter just sucks.
