View Full Version : Game crashes on startup

netnerd85
10-01-2018, 04:19 PM
The game will not start, it crashes every time at the warning screen. I have tried:

updating my geforce drivers.
rolling back my geforce drivers.
Verifying the game.
reinstalling the game.
Installing on Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Tried to delete intro movies (moved into temp folder, restored after)
Disabling overlays
Windowed mode

Origins and every Ubisoft game (Far Cry, All assassins, Watch dogs, Clancy) has always worked. Not this one, so weird :(

My support ticket: 07074627

PC Specs:
i7 920 (8 cores)
20GB RAM
Gtx 980 ti
Win 10 (and Win 7 didnt work either)

Hey netnerd85! What are your specs? Can you try these steps (http://ubi.li/mae8v) and see if they help with this issue? If they do not, please create a support ticket (http://ubi.li/dzqpu) with your MSINFO/DXDIAG (http://ubi.li/gsv9e) and comment the ticket number below. Thanks!

If you guys ever find a solution please post what the solution was, thank you.

Im having the same issue, ive tried the following things to no avail:

Clean Boot
Run as Admin for everything
Reinstalling and downloading the entire game
Installing it to the C Drive as recomended
Updated all drivers before i did the clean boot etc

Basically ive tried all 5 steps of the "guide for PC Troubleshooting" that keeps getting linked in every thread where someone has an issue... i even tried the clean boot.

i have no idea what the problem is at this point.... i get as far as the warning screen then it just ejects me back to the desktop screen.

Ive never had an issue like this with any other AC let alone any Ubi Game.

Thank you.

EDIT: Several Hours later and several attempts of various fixes the problem persists, i even went as far as to import the ini files from origins into the odyssey settings to see if it would make a difference, it of course did not and the crash persists as before, i get the warning screen, once it even loaded the golden ubi logo about 20% before crashing, other then that its the same as before, havent even been able to access an ingame menue at this point. Quite frustrating.

Having the same issue here (i7-5960X, 32GB RAM, 2xGeForce 1080, Win10).
Disabling SLI - no effect.
Completely disabling second 1080 - no effect
Updated to latest NVidia drivers as of 1st Oct - no effect
Clean boot - no effect
Reinstall to usual SSD - no effect
Reinstall to C:\ - failed in a different fashion. Instead of crashing to desktop, game froze about 1/4 second into the Ubisoft splash movie.

Clean reinstall of NVidia drivers - game is now crashing to desktop as before.

Modifying .ini to change windowed mode - no effect in modes 1, 2 or 3.

you can try to change in ACOdyssey.ini line "WindowMode=3" (3 is for fullscreen) the file is in your Documents\Assassin's Creed Odyssey

I saw on a similar thread that the issue may be related to some instructions not being recognized by older CPUs. Last time the issue happened on Steep it took them about 2 weeks to patch and fix

I have yet to unlock my own copy, but I did read up on some Things, so I could be prepared just in case. It turns out, that there were some users who had very similiar problems with Origins and they solved it by installing the game on a virtual harddrive. To be on the safe side, I preloaded my game via Steam onto a VHDX drive - curious if that will make it work out of the box...

https://support.shadow.tech/hc/en-us/community/posts/360000662014-Assassin-creed-Origin?page=3

1. Open Disk Management (right-click Start button and select it in the menu there)
2. Open the "Action" menu and select "Create VHD"
3. Click Browse to select a location and name for the disk file (doesn't really matter as long as you don't accidentally delete it later or anything)
4. Set size to something like 64 GB (as it needs to be at least 48 GB for ACO, and doesn't matter if it's set bigger)
5. Select "VHDX" and "Dynamically expanding" options, then press OK
6. Right-click the new "Disk 1" entry in the lower section and select "Initialise Disk"
7 Leave options as default (GPT) and click OK
8. Right-click the new "Unallocated" entry to the right and select "New Simple Volume"
9. Keep clicking next until finished, keeping all the default options (you can change the assigned drive letter and volume label if you like)
If you've already installed ACO, follow the steps below to move it into the new virtual drive (or if not, just install it as normal, but pick the D drive when it asks you where to install it to)
1. Open File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games
2. Move (not copy) the "Assassin's Creed Origins" folder from here to the D drive
3. Open Uplay and go into Assassin's Creed Origins from the Games section
4. Click "Locate installed game" and select "Assassin's Creed Origins" folder in the D drive
5. Click Play!

Maybe someone can try if it works for Odyssey as well?

Just an aside - For those of you that have VR headsets, make sure they are not plugged in. I have an original generation vive and often have problems getting flat games to start whether they are in steam or not if the headset is plugged in. If you have a headset, unplug the linkbox (or whatever your headsets equivalent is) and, if not running the game through steam, make sure steam is fully closed and not just collapsed to the system tray. If you are using steam to run the game then you might need to restart after unplugging your headset. Obviously won't solve issues for everyone here but may solve it for some :)

Hi !

Same issue here, the game crashes to desktop after the usual splash screens (warning/ubisoft logo), my ticketnumber is
07082071This is very unfortunate, especially since I (I assume everyone here) bought the gold+ editions for that early access.
I verified the installfiles, have the latest drivers installed and generally no problems with other games on my PC.

Continually Crashed at the warning screen. I tried moving it to c: drive. I updated my drivers.

So this may be related to the processor as my Desktop meets all the other requirements.

Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Customer Support.

In order to fully troubleshoot the problem that you are having, please try the steps below:

1. Disabling your background applications:

Go to the Start menu on your Desktop. Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter.
Go to the Startup tab, and click Open Task Manager.
For each Startup item in the Task Manager, select the item then click Disable.
Close Task Manager.
On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click OK, then restart the computer.

Note: For Windows 7, you can simply click Disable All on the Startup tab within the System Configuration window.

2. Clearing your temporary files:

Go to the Start menu on your Desktop. Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
Type in %TEMP% and press Enter.
Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
Click the Delete key.

Note: If you are using Windows 7, you will need to press Ctrl + A together to highlight the files. Once the files are highlighted, you will need to press the Delete key.

3. Make sure the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are up-to-date. Running 2 cards in SLI or running 2 screens can also cause issues. Deactivate SLI or unplug any additional screens you may be using. If you are overclocking, try running at the stock clock settings.

4. Make sure that any antivirus or firewall software on your system is disabled.

5. Install Windows Updates:
Click on the Windows Start button and go to All Programs --> Windows Update. In the left pane, click "Check for updates" and if any are found choose "Install updates."
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/install-windows-updates

If the issues persist, please upload the MSINFO file again since the one you uploaded previously is corrupt. These steps include modifications to make sure this one is no longer corrupt:

1. From Windows, click Start, then select Run (XP), Start Search (Vista), Search Programs and Files (Win 7), or Search (Win 8).(You can also press the Windows key and the "R" key at the same time.)
2. In the Open box, type 'msinfo32' (without the quotes) and click OK.
3. When the program comes up, open the Software Environment section on the left side and select Windows Error Reporting.
4. Make sure that the Windows Error Reporting has also completely loaded prior to saving.
5. At the top, click on File. Click on Save.
6. Click the "Save" button to save the file as nfo file to your desktop.

If you receive an error stating that the file is too large, you will need to compress it using either winzip or winrar. Once I receive this file, I will get right back to you.

Anyone whose game is crashing during the startup screens, it is not a system problem. That much is clear. Nobody is having any success with the basic troubleshooting steps that Ubisoft is copying and pasting to every support ticket and troubleshooting thread.

It is clear that this is a game problem and can only be fixed with an official patch.

It does not run on CPUs that don’t support AVX. CPUs from the following generations may not work with Odyssey at the moment:

First generation Intel i3, i5, i7 processor or older (Eg. i7 920, i7 960, etc.)
Intel Pentium processors (Eg. G4560, G2030, etc.)
AMD Phenom processors (Eg. X6 1090T)

There is a small chance that this might be fixed by Ubisoft, because apparently the same issue was never officially addressed by the developers for Origins last year.

As in people with those specs last year with Origins couldn't play either?

CASE NUMBER
07086832

I spent over $100 on the Ultimate edition, and the game will not move past the epileptic warning. It crashes to desktop and prompts me to send info of the crash to Ubisoft. I didn't spend that much money on a game for it not to work. Especially when paying for early access. I have tried all the suggestions, like everyone else that has the SAME launch issue. It's not a rig issue. I meet or exceed all the minimum requirements. All prior AC have had no issue on my rig. I need a real solution to this, one that does not require me to be a computer programmer and go in and mess with a bunch of computer files and game files. Not my job or expertise, probably make matters worse. I look forward to a quick response with a viable solution.

Thank you for your time

This is what i sent. You don't spend that kind of money on something for it to fail from the git go. Its a huge issue from many different and same rigs.. it's NOT a computer issue, it's a game issue. Hence I wont bore you all with my computer specs. I hope they figure it out fast.

i have no room in my c drive that is why i have an f drive. i shouldn't have to reconfigure my more than sufficient computer to get this game working. Cause that means i have to uninstall not just this game but a few other programs and reinstall all of them in different places. No one should have to do that. If that is the case, they at least should have listed this as a requirement for the game.

Are we must waiting for 2 weeks? Or 2 years to play your amazing game?
Come on spit it off , tell the truth .. Not all of us are fckn rich people in here

Really hoping that this is addressed ASAP. I absolutely loved AC Origins, but crashing to the desktop without even hitting the title screen or getting to play is ridiculous. I have tried a lot of different things to get the game to work. Makes me wonder if I should have saved my money for Red Dead Redemption 2 instead.

chadd1974

I am done for the nite... This is BS seriously. I understand a few hiccups etc at a MMO game launch. Hell I can understand a few "opps" with a single player game or coop game like this. But damnit if you have this much of a problem with the same issue over multiple different platforms, it says that you rushed a game to get it out for the money. They got our money... so now they can take their time fiddling around with telling people to reconfigure their systems or screw around with files here, or reinstall crap there (that by the way was not an issue to begin with). This is just a stall tactic, because they have no clue what the actual problem is. They are stalling for time to figure out what they messed up and how to fix it.

I am not trying to sound entitled, but when I pay for something, I EXPECT it to work, first time. Not dancing around trying to turn the end user a half-assed computer programmer/troubleshooter, to do the work for you. Not to mention if our puters get screwed up because of all the monkey business... are they going to fix that too ... free of charge. Most of us have no clue what we are doing when they ask us to mess with puter files or game files. 5 hours later and I am right where I started, no progress.

What makes it an even worse slap in the face is that they won't even acknowledge that there is a problem. I have seen and read enough on many different places that this issue is wide spread. Not an isolated incident of just a few people. That tells me it's not a "rig" issue, it's a GAME issue. No official word about it at all. Not even "Hey we are looking into this known issue and will release a statement and or a hot fix when we know more"... nothing, zip. So we all sit here trying to do their jobs and speculate on what the issue may be and try to help each other out, and get no where cause it's a programming issue within the game, or else it would not be so wide spread, over multiple platforms.

Sorry guys i am frustrated. A whole day after work wasted 5 hours banging my head over this. Not a lot of fun.

In the requirements you can see that nothing AVX appears, only (SSE 4.1 Support or higher required)

https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/faqs/0...-Odyssey-ACOD/

The same requirements as in Origins:

I think this has to start coming to light through Reddit and twitter, the silence of Ubisoft before this problem is a shame. € 127 thrown in the trash

This company never learns their lesson and never does their homework right.

In fact they did another pissed poor job in releasing this unfinished broken product.

It’s in the minimum CPU spec, where they require a 2nd-gen Intel Core series, FX-6300 or a Ryzen 3 - or better. All of those implement the AVX instruction set.

That said, my system is built around an i7-5960X, which does have AVX (and AVX2) and is having the same problem.

Edit: And thanks to a colleague for pointing out that a 5960X is 4th gen, not 5th and that 5th gen Cores were phenomenally rare. My bad.

@Adiquiet and Tenevyk. Fear not, support replied to me and mentioned clock speed only, nothing about CPU generation! Hello Tenevyk,

Thank you for your reply.

I am sorry to hear that the issue persists.

I have checked your system files and confirmed that your system doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the game. Mainly your CPU is not supported.

Updated case 07081691.

Game is still non-functional - and I'm not sure it is an AVX issue, since I'm using a 5960X (4th gen core i7) that supports the set.

I asked this in my ticket but I'll ask here as well - are crash reports stored locally and, if so, where? Reading those might prove useful for individual cases.

Over the past 2 days we have gradually presented a picture of what is happening. But it seems to me that the representative of Ubisoft should intervene to help sort out the issue and explain. I'm wondering when I will ever get to play this game I just spent $130 on. It might be a year or two before I even consider upgrading my I7 - 980X (overclocked to 4.0Ghz). My rig has also a GeForce GTX 1080Ti. Every game I play currently runs on ultra settings with high FPS. AC Origins ran at perfectly on ultra settings. For that matter I also can run the brand new Shadow of the Tomb Raider on ultra settings with high FPS.

It is extremely deceptive and disappointing if AVX is required. This was not stated anywhere before I purchased the Ultimate Edition. Clearly this seems like a return to a draconian form of forcing DRM. Sadly even legit purchases and loyal fans of Ubisoft are hurt in the process. This is my last Ubisoft purchase until a patch is released to allow this game to work on my rig that has CPU plenty powerful enough. Hoping that Ubisoft makes the right decision here and does not decide to alienate a whole of portion of the PC gaming community.

I'm in the same boat, feeling the same way. And it's even worse that there's pretty much been silence from ubisoft regarding this issue. Customer support is telling some people that it is required and there are no plans to patch it out, yet other people like myself aren't being told anything about it. It is deceptive, infuriating, and incredibly frustrating, and I will also not be spending any further money on ubisoft if this is an example of what I can expect.

No he just feels like a betatester because ubisoft released a not working game.
I just got my refund from Steam for the Ultimae Edition and bought the Medusa Edition in a store near my location instead.
But its still sad that the Pc version was not working because i wanted to experince the graphic in all of its glory and as far as i know the pc version offers some graphicalfeatures the console versions didnt have.

I refuse to do this because it just encourages companies to release crappily made PC versions and focus on their console market. If they don't fix it so it runs on my machine, I will simply not play and stop buying Ubisoft games moving forward. No skin off my back, there's plenty of other companies out there who don't pull shady stunts like stealthily editing their system specs after the game launches.

I'm hanging around until tomorrow in the hopes that they announce a fix, or any indication that they are working on it then I'm walking away from Ubi.

It's in your documents/assassin's creed odyssey folder, not the folder with the exe.

Bought and downloaded this on PC because I wanted to get this game for my nephew for Christmas and I wanted to play it first so i could help him out and play with him. Boy do I wish I had Just waited, lol, oh well. Game looks beautiful and have been watching Jorrapter's youtube video's of the game so I know it works somewhere. Sadly not for PC apparently.

No reply to my support ticket from October 2...

Not even a tiny error message stating "Sorry, you CPU isn't supported". So everyone wastes hours to find the issue by themselves first...

So ive looked around and it seems like the problem is that the game does not support Microsoft Space Strorage Devices. The STUPID thing is just that this is set as default on my PC and the only way to convert the Smart Storage Device into a regular device is to Backup the drive, completely reset it and thenjust format it regularly. I would do that if my HDD wasnt 1 TB of data that I cant possibly backup because Ive got no storage device large enough to fit 900Gb ... So now what?? Either i spend even more money on a disc to backup or I´ll just dont play the game?!?! I hope I just understood it wrong and there is an easy way, but if not I dont understand how everybody manages to make their games run normally, besides UBISOFT. Managed to get it working here - although I suspect there are several different CTD scenarios in this thread, so your mileage may vary.

However, what worked for me was a reset of Windows 10, followed by reinstalling UPlay and AC to C:\, updating to the NVidia 416 drivers and disabling SLI. Which is a bit drastic, but hey...

Now to start plugging the various odds and ends that got removed in that process back in and seeing if it breaks again...

I also got scammed by Amd and Ubi my game wont start.

My Xeon x5660 is oced to be on par with a ~ryzen 1600 .Wildlands, Bf1 etc working perfect.

You should make it way more clear on main page and ask :Can your PC run Denuvo Vmprotect

The worst thing I cant just refund it, bought a Amd Gpu only because it came with Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

It never even said that I will need a Avx cpu when i made my purchase and ubi stealth changed the cpu requirements a few days ago.

Thats fraud and I hope paypal will get me all my money back.

Here you have the official confirmation from a Ubisoft support account on twitter that the problem is the AVX:

https://twitter.com/UbisoftSupport/status/1047918273826889730

They point to a thread within the The Crew 2 product:

https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1888070-Game-Doesn-t-Start-Does-Your-CPU-Support-AVX-Check-Here-To-Find-Out-Forums

Nothing more to add, I have already asked for my return. Never again Ubisoft.

The only solution to this problem right now for people who cannot refund because of t he link will be to wait for 4 AM 10/6/2018 GEFORCE NOW will be able to stream the game for free everyone will be able to play the game on any CPU and on any computer.

I was not able to launch the game on ubisoft because aparently my CPU does not support AVX.... what a total joke. Everyone in ubisoft forums are crazy mad about it everyone is complaining. they did not post that in their requirements.

Now i have to wait for my lord and saviour geforce NOW... Better than nothing since i can't even get a refund!!! this is madness.

It's basically a previously unlisted system requirement (until like today or yesterday) that, if you don't have causes your game to just not work. No fixes for it either, until ubi actually does it themselves.

Exactly the same problem! When you start the game with a “warning about the dangers of the game,” it falls to the desktop. All drivers are added and additional programs are added. It’s in the minimum CPU spec, where they require a 2nd-gen Intel Core series
I agree with this. As far as I can tell, this is the first PC Requirements posted by Ubisoft on 7 Sept.:

https://news.ubisoft.com/article/Assassins-Creed-Odyssey-PC-Specs-and-System-Requirements-Revealed

In the Minimum Requirements section, it quite clearly states "Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.1 GHz", a second gen Core CPU. Anything below this i.e. 1st. gen Core CPUs do not meet the specified minimum requirement. Using anything below minimum requirement may or may not work.

Hey Guys,

I'm seeing the same problem as being reported everywhere...

Core i7 950 3.07 GHz
18 GB of RAM
256 GB SSD Boot Drive
Windows 10 Home

Crashes each time I start the game. I get as far as the seizure warming screen. If I hit escape there, the Ubisoft Logo comes up, the screen tears, and the program crashes. Interestingly, the program doesn't crash at the exact same moment, so it appears to be a resouce-related issue, more than an application error.

Anyway, I work in IT. If you need any assistance troubleshooting (I have no issue with remote access), just shoot me an email and I'll give you my number.

I live in Sarnia Ontario, in the Eastern Time Zone, if that helps.

Please keep us posted if there is a fix. I've been looking forward to this game for weeks.

Thanks,

Lee

The problem is they only just made that clarification a few days ago, not months ago when most of us purchased the game. Not to mention, AC Origins, Watchdogs 2, The Crew 2, and other games have virtually the same requirements and work just fine. We're not just going by stated requirements, we're going by proven performance history too. They were not clear about this even now. The real deal breaker is likely AVX, which has little to do with the game itself and more with cryptography. They did the same with previous games (AC Origins, The Crew 2, Steep) and eventually patched it out after enough people complained.

Not surprised here, but they haven't learned their lesson.

Father-Jack

No, the problem is that Ubisoft clearly stated on 7th Sept. that the minimum CPU required to run Odyssey was a 2nd gen Core CPU and people have taken a gamble in purchasing ACOD with hardware that does not meet the minimum requirement.

The fact that hardware was not meeting minimum spec with previous game purchases e.g. Origins, was lucky. Unfortunately, this time not so lucky.

Gaia004
10-06-2018, 07:22 AM
They did an offer with AMD Graphic cards before sept 7th. Plus it was already possible to make purchases of the game... Are you telling me that it is ok to change those requirements less than a month prior to the game release after that?

What can I do now with my copy of AC Odyssey bought on sept 3rd (almost when the offer ended so might be some people with an earlier copy) along with my AMD Graphics card? That's scam.

You know what my friend? CPU speed is measured in Instructions Per Cycle (IPC) & clock speed & number of cores/threads. NOT in generations! Many 1st gen i7-s and Xeons surpass those "minimum" processors. I cant understand why would anyone protect Ubisoft's obsessions with crazy anti-consumer DRM!

Well, i tried to launch this game for a couple of hours and it still crashing on save icon warning.

I successfully launched it to the main menu 2 times (after full clean driver install and geforce experience optimal settings configuration) but after enabling hdr and restart the game it doesn't worked again.

For me it definitely nvidia problem, cuz when i cleanup drivers and run it on the CPU it launched fine (1 fps).

CPU: i7-6700K
Video: Nvidia Geforce 1080.

F2_Vergil
10-06-2018, 10:55 PM
Yeah, 398.11 driver fixed the issue.

Now i need to find out what version break the game.

Update: i installed only the video driver.
Update 2: 398.82+ definetely breaks the system. After game crashed you cannot use administrative-level operations with UAC level 4. (UAC pop-up doesn't showed up and system freezes)

F2_Vergil
10-07-2018, 12:49 AM
Alas, that was a lucky game launch that passed the test i guess.

398.11 didn't work either. But there's:
\Device\Video3
Graphics Exception: ESR 0x51ca24=0x80000000 0x51ca28=0x0 0x51ca2c=0x0 0x51ca34=0x0
\Device\Video3
NVRM: Graphics TEX Exception on (GPC 3, TPC 1): TEX NACK / Page Fault
\Device\Video3
Variable String too Large
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

errors, so it's a most likely software issue. Looks like a bug in nvidia driver\directX or something like that.

Problem with UAC still persist. You need to power off\hard reset the system to get it back to work properly after you launched and crashed the game.

We need the fix for it or just tell us to stop buying ubisoft games, the AVS support thing should have been told before sales!

Hi All

I just wanted to let people know if they have the issue with AVX support you may still be entitled to a refund.

I pre-ordered my code from Amazon.

The system requirements were stated as "coming soon" on the Amazon product page.

Their own store page lists supported CPUs but I hear people claiming this has only just been added.

Other store pages, such as steam, only list a minimum spec like this:

Processor: AMD FX 6300 @ 3.8 GHz, Ryzen 3 - 1200, Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.1 GHz

If your product page did not clearly state that your CPU is not supported, or that AVX is required, you are legally entitled to a refund.

It doesn't matter if it was mentioned on any other sites or news articles.

It doesn't matter if the store you bought it from said the item was non-refundable.

If your store page does not explicitly state that AVX is required, or that your specific CPU is not supported, and your game crashes at startup, you are legally entitled to a refund. They have not fulfilled their obligations by law and must issue a refund.

If you're having this issue please file a calm and civil refund request/complaint with the store you bought your game from and state these facts.

If they dispute it, refer them to your country's laws on right to refund (find the info on your government's website). I'm in the UK so I'm well within my rights to a refund, even if it is a code that they will no longer be able to resell.

Good luck.

I exceed the minimum requirements for this game and my CPU does support AVX. I have done all the usual updating and rolling back of drivers, updating Uplay, restarting and uninstalling and reinstalling and NOTHING fixes this! It's beyond a joke how this issue can go unnoticed. Ubisoft clearly don't give a damn.

For those who have AVX in their processor, where is your game installed? I read from those who have their fixed by moving the game files to the primary drive.

Here is same AVX story...
Ubisoft Support Ticket: 07122974

I can play most games with my pc, it still relevant, ghost recon wildlands and rainbow six siege runs like a charm... And my cpu still uses 100% of my graphics card, so i won't upgrade...
Look this benchmark says about my processor....
http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11281554

"With a brilliant single core score, this CPU is the business: It demolishes everyday tasks such as web browsing, office apps and audio/video playback. Additionally this processor can handle typical workstation, and even moderate server workloads. Finally, with a gaming score of 90.7%, this CPUs suitability for 3D gaming is outstanding."

FIX IT!

Next time release an opem beta test, be especific that it requires AVX, have some dignity ubisoft!

Well, they specified 2 gen processor in minimal specs. It means AVX support. Do not treat CPU by clockspeed only.

BTW, it crashes for me too. And i have AVX support.

Are you saying their requirements page was sufficient in their clarification of which processors are compatible? Originally, the only thing they mentioned is Phenom Processors are not supported. Yes, they mentioned a Gen 2 processor but since when did min requirements mean that it's totally unplayable with anything below that, never. Maybe not optimal or recommended but still should launch the game. Also they made a pretty big correction once they realized how wide spread the issue is on their requirements page. AVX is being used for the DRM, was patched out of their other newer titles, don't see why they wouldn't do it this time.

Thanks for fixing the AVX issues in a future patch Ubi!
