View Full Version : Subject 16 Alive?

It occurs to me that noone says that 16 ever actually died, only that he went insane. Desmond the player assumes it, but really, Lucy wasn't that involved towards the end. Yes, that's a lot of blood if he drew all those clues, but who says he drew them at the same time?

Perhaps 16 is still around, likely in some Templar Animu being poked and pushed by Vidic?

I'm fairly sure that Lucy said he "died."
Although, I can't say I'm certain.

I think they say several times out right that hes dead and the tone of his voice as well as what he says makes it pretty obvious what hes about to do.

I think with the writing he left round the lab in blood it's a good bet he didn't have much left.

Generally, 2 comes after 1, sequels come after originals. It's called numbers and ordering. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

And Subject 16 is dead. He goes insane, paints pretty drawings on the wall with his blood, and dies of blood loss. He also mentions the pain he feels from several memories all hurting him at once, and that was a sure sign.

Direct quote from the Piggyback guide, concerning Subject 16:

"This individual eventually took his own life - but only after daubing the lab's walls and floors with arcane symbols and messages written in his own blood."

Don't think that is right. I'm pretty sure he wrote some of it in his own blood, and some in another person's blood...at least I remember either reading that somewhere (likely here or Assassin's Wiki) or heard it in the game.

ETA: In fact, from Assassin's Wiki...

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Subject 16 states in the triangle-shaped message on the floor that he drained his own body to paint the figures on the floor and walls of the main room where the Animus is located. But had he also used his own blood to paint the wall mural in the sleeping room, he would have bled out - literally - before he finished his work. It is possible that Leila's blood is used in the wall mural in the sleeping room, done before he painted the messages with his own blood in the Animus room - a murder/suicide </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

im not so sure its a knife, sounds more like he pressing the record button, but anyway he seems certain of killing himself so i dont think anyone else killed him.

Yeah, but what I've always wondered is about a scene from the beginning of the game.

When Desmond sees the fingerprints on the keypad.

I think those are not from a templar, but from sixteen, his hands and fingers covered in blood from writing on the walls, and then he tried to escape, he entered the code on the keypad, leaving his blood there in the shape of his fingerprints.

So maybe he got away?

And Lucy was just told/assumed he died because of all the blood and him not being around anymore?

Maybe Abstergo didn't want her to know he escaped so she didn't go looking for him?

Sounds unlikely I know, but I'm just throwing out my idea's here.

Remember those messages he wrote in blood in the first game? No one could survive that much blood loss.

We are to assume it was his blood, but what is all that is just a red herring?

What if it wasn't his blood at all?

What if he took down a couple security guards and wrote in their blood, then, with his blood covered hands punched in the key code and escaped?

Um... It's pretty much confirmed that he used his own blood. Both Lucy and Desmond mention so several times, plus it's in Abstergo's records, and then there's the fact that he went insane from the bleeding effect.

I'm just throwing ideas out there. There are always possibilities (cover ups, misinterpretation, misconceived assumptions etc)

But at the same time, I dont no why he would send it if he was captured, but then again, maybe he was captured, saw the "accident at denver airport, and eventually escaped, and sent the email, but I dont no why he would send it. Looks like subject 16 isnt all we should be worrying about if he DIDNT send the email
