Well I've just been flying the best I ever have - one of those moments where it all comes together...I truly feel like i've gotten somewhere and something has clicked....my deflection shooting and general gunnery feels great, My spatial/ tactical awareness and energy control and more to the point my power/engine management skills have finally come 2 gether.

I have been flying various sims for ages ...FSX,IL2,OFF/LOMAC but somehow although the information was all there it never felt like it had come 2gether...

The ground breaker came today - mainly with Prop control....

I've read articles about prop control being similar to "gears" and understood the concept but never really found out how I could use it except for general take off/landing but today I had an Epiphany.....

Not sure if this is right but I noticed that when performing high gturns or loop ACM's etc my airspeed/energy dropped off (as expected) and I always found my self fighting to hold of stalls at critical moments....however I now found that if I alter my Prop pitch as the speed drops off (towards fine pitch) I can hold the turns/loops much longer and increasing the pitch to "coarse" as my speed come back (finishing turn /loop) and the speed comes back much faster!

So now basically I use my throttle for hard (Big) power changes and pitch/prop pitch for speed....I mean I use to do this but it all just seems to make much more sense now...Throttle staying pretty much set and Prop pitch getting all the attention...happy days

I know a lot of you probably all ready knew this but I'm elated that the knowledge now seems applicable to ACM and not just Takeoff/landing and general AC handling.

Just wanted to share my Joy :O)
