Check these out: http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

1. "World In Conflict" (http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/worldinconflict/screenindex.html) - a real time strategy game

2. "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" (http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/enemyterritoryquakewars/screenindex.html) - commerical follow-up to the superb, free(!), highly playable, but now slightly out-dated, "Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory". The original (based in WW2) is so good it was the reason I decided to get a gaming PC at home. Even though the graphics in the orginal look dated now, I still play regularly because the tactical gameplay is so addictive. I hope the gameplay in the new game is not spoilt by big budgets. It looks amazing (even better than S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ?!)

Watch the video previews if you can. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Hmmm... I hope my new graphics card will run these games well!

And Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was free!

Really clever missions. Great MP fun!

RtCW ET was fun for awhile. Got rather boring though. Run and gun games are not my thing.

That world in conflict game looks pretty neat for an RTS. But "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" reminds me of Battlefield2 with better graphics.

The gameplay is totally different, at least in the first Enemy Territory.

For instance, on one mission the Germans have to move a train from one depot to the other, load ammunition, move it back to other depot, transfer ammunition to ammo tug, load railgun, and fire it.

In another mission the Allies have to move a tank, past a number of barriers the Germans have to construct, blow the doors off a bank, steal the gold inside, load it on a truck, and move the truck past a few more barriers the Germans have to construct.

Much more complicated than the capture the command post gameplay of Battlefield.

I really enjoyed Far Cry - in fact I think I might buy it again now I have my new gfx card so that I can take full advantage of the graphics. I think I will need to upgrade again for Crysis though... Stunning!

Holy ****!!! Have you seen the video clips (http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/crysis/media.html?sid=6150435&autoplay=6150435)??? Watch the 'Crysis Official Trailer 1' the lighting and visual effects are amazing. The soft shadows and depth of field add huge amounts of realism. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif I'm counting the days for this game to arrive!!

Yeah it's that tactical gameplay that makes it so addictive. I've been playing for years and have only just started to get a little bored of it (only after 6 games in a row!).

I still don't understand why Activision released such a good game for free?!?!? Sure, it's good PR for them and has no doubt created a very loyal fanbase for the new game - but what is truly amazing is (listen up Ubisoft!!) that they released it for FREE 3 years ago, and are still supporting it with new patches - a new patch was released last week!!! That puts SH3 and Ubi to shame.

Hi ! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Nice graphic, but as a former owner of Atari 130xe and hardcore chessplayer I still insist: graphic has a secondary meaning, the most important things happens in the head !http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f364/Janek73/930277_20060503_screen002.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f364/Janek73/930277_20060510_screen005.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f364/Janek73/932546_20060504_screen001.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f364/Janek73/932546_20060504_screen004.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f364/Janek73/930277_20060503_screen003.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f364/Janek73/930277_20060507_screen005.jpg

I saw the trailer for the new BiA game, i couldnt believe it. Is it scripted ( i know this sounds familiar) like MOHAA or is there some element of randommness in it? It really does look amazing.

I heard they just couldn't get the singleplayer to come together, so they really did release the multiplayer as a show of goodwill.
