400$?!? Thats effing crazy.

Usually most pilot schools will offer an intro ride where they let you take control, but thats more in the 100$ range. If they are charging you 400$ you are getting ripped off.

Unless its in an old warbird or something.

Isn't there a few places out west that charge a ton but you get to do actual dogfights for a weekend?

I suppose that's not too bad a price for an hour in a T-6. I'm not sure why you'd particularly want to fly a Bell-47 unless you're a really big fan of MASH or something, since AFAIK an R-22 has similar kinematic performance and is rather cheaper to fly (though "cheap" is a relative term when you're dealing with helicopters!).

Personally I'd suggest that if you decide to go for it you get some experience in cheaper aeroplanes first so that you can make the best use of your expensive T-6 time.

You talking about that dogfight school or whatever? The one where you and your buddy can go and dogfight one another. If so then thats a good price.
