I'm really sick of what I see in this forum. Constant whinning and disrespect. False claims about FB planes performance, russian bias conspiracy theories, insults. There are reasonable posts but sadly they are minority.

IMHO FB was released as somewhat unfinished software but that's reality today. Nearly no software is fully finished in its first release. And there were NO MAJOR BUGS in FB 1.0. And there is no better WWII sim.

The developer team improves FB. There are definitely things I would like to see changed in FM and DM mostly. But if your favorite plane doesn't fly according to what you expect you shoudn't take it as a personal insult from Maddox Games.

FB is damned cheap. I never bought so much fun for 30$. Even if there was no patch or addon after 1.0 it would have been a great buy. But some people on this forum act like they have paid 3000$ for FB. I wish the development team cannot speak english. Otherwise they may lose their enthusiasm to make FB better for us.

RBJ, I didnt know we had a ranking system here, that said that people over 50 postings can say whatever they want, and those with around 10 should shut up?

The guy is right.

No harm in arguing and having different opinions, it's the namecallings, the abusing that make this forum a but harsh.

I agree w/ you Lazy_312, but whining about whining is almost as prevalent, (and almost as annoying) as the whining itself.

I'm glad you enjoy the game so much; and I too, wish that these boards had a more constructive attitude. However Lazy_312, if your not part of the solution, your part of the problem.

HEY there's no rule saying those with 100 postings can gainsay what those with 50 posts say about those with 10 posts - and if there is, then surely those with a 1000 posts must be able to gainsay what those with 50 posts say about those with 10 posts /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

anyway yes you're right Orheim -

50 post is not that far from 10 posts - and no amount of postcount makes any difference to how much someone knows about the game or how well they can fly...(only in some peoples minds/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif )

What Id like to know, is why is it that if someone is disatisfyed with the sim as it stands & voices his opinion he is attacked by the people who are not disatifyed with the Arcade Game...

Im sure the original poster flys the la7 & hasent tested every ac in the sim

I have Ive flown all of them every single one with aptitude & there is Bias its not a theory its a fact.

Russian AC
Muzzel velocity= Kicks arse.
Rate of Fire= Kicks arse.
Resistance to damage= absorbs bullits like a sponge.
climb like hell.
overheat rarely cool off very fast.
never ever fryed a vvs engine by overheating it.

German AC
Muzzel Velocity= Junk
Rate of Fire= Junk
Resistance to damage= None!!! dies if Yak looks @ it
climb= very good
overheat= all the time constant strugle to keep it cool
fryed many LW engine because it overheat model is overdone.

and I can feal the hate coming already.. someone will say well you dont know how to fly German ac, fly vvs, learn to fly...

well Ill rebuff that here & now I know how to fly all of the ac in the sim & fly them very will untill this 1.11 patch where Lw has been castrated & vvs is on steroids..

Get realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllll

Lazy_312 good points, well said.

And post count means very little. I`ve seen jerks with thousands post count and excellent written English come out with vitriol and first posters writing bad English with BRILLIANT comments.

It`s just posters with high counts don`t want to get themselves banned for being stupid and start from zero, so you tend to get less trouble from them, wheras those who want to start a flame war or insult members of society will never last longer than noob to 50 because they`re ready to run or get banned so fast. So noob posts tend to be treated with a little more suspicioun...

So RBJ_4 should keep quiet because Lazy_312`s post is reasonable and fine. (Also, RBJ_4, Is 50 posts that much better than 10? NO.)

Locust, I have no problem at all with people standing up and saying what they think of the game. On the contrary, this is indeed imperetive for this game to improve, and as long as Maddox Games comes up with patches, add-ons and so forth, we all who have a voice are important, those with constructive criticism more than the "yeah-sayers".

What I object against is the way that some of the guys in here express themselves: namecallings, rude comments, personal attacks and so forth. This is not a constructive way to communicate, but rather spoils one of the reason that there is a forum here at all: to make this a better game. I know many guys who no longer visit this place because of the "harsh" atmosphere, and that's a shame.

I myself, I try to stick around because there are still wisdom, logics and fun in here (but soon you have to really look hard), and I also want to help clean this place up by holding a relative calm stance.

Cheers mates, and remember: A message with a smile rather than a bark is better received, even though opions are different.

If we didn't have differences of opinion, the only thing on this board would be a devotion to Oleg. I imagine that would get pretty boring after the umpteenth post declaring a blind devotion to the game and to the Russian.
Unfortunatly, someone who points out errors in the game is immediatly dubbed a "Whiner" and usually subjected to abuse with varying degrees of viciousness. Maybe we should have Two boards. One for critics and one for the Oleg worshippers. Don't think either board would be too interesting.

Nah, some friction is good and I agree., different opinions are really useful. I just wish that we could dicuss in a more "reasonable tone".

Whiners in my opionion are not we who back up our statements with facts, WE important, but those who just explodes in statements like "this game sux, Oleg is a whimp" etc. We could do without those statements.

Cheers.. and remember..this is all for fun

I fully agree with you, Lazy_312. I've had similar feelings through the last several weeks, too.

I believe that Il2/FB is the best flight simulation game we can currently get. It may not be 100% perfect, but it definitely isn't that poor to deserve the offenses that often appear in these forums.

Il2/FB "fun for money" ratio is extemely high. In fact, the game may be even too cheap :-)) After starting to play it I have invested more than ten times as much money as it costs into game controllers just to get most of the game. I would pay much more for so much fun and it would still be worth it.

Concerning the "whinners" - there is an easy proof that most of their FM requirements are quite irrelevant. Just do some statistics what they want and try to find a pattern there. There is none. They do not have acommon topics or requests, (almost) each of them wants different things. Moreover, their requirements are often mutually incompatible. Most of the whinings therefore simply cannot be justified.

Now let me state that English is not my first language. But sure it was Joyce's first language (you may have heard of James Joyce). The rules you mention apply for children that are learning. Even if you were right, it's essential manners not to correct people when you are not asked to.

And I am sick and tired of all the agressivity that I find in this forum.
